Woodkid, the critically renowned, Grammy-nominated, French musician, video director and producer who just released his debut Interscope album, The Golden Age, will undertake a seven-city U.S./Canadian fall tour.
It'll be fall – go see a show.
Following in the footsteps of such fellow directors-turned-musicians as Baz Luhrmann and David Lynch, the eclectic Renaissance man stepped out from behind the camera with The Golden Age, which was released in March.
The album follows the life and loves of a youngster as he grows into manhood and reaches a tragic end. The singer/songwriter/keyboardist producer commented on the album's soaring, orchestral songs, saying, "I want people to feel like heroes when they hear my music." Lemoine created, produced and directed all aspects of the music and image for the project, which featured vocalist Anthony Hegarty.
It'll be fall -- go see a show. Go see a Woodkid show.
