X3 Plans, Before Ratner became director.

My main concern for the X-films is the damage done in X-3. If there are going to be more movies, they're going to either have to make some changes to the roster (which I'm not sure the general public would favor) or find a way to bring back Cyclops and Jean. And don't even get me started on Rogue getting the damn cure. Pisses me off. She's been one of my favorite characters in the comics since I can remember and they've wussed her up like no other in the movies.

Honestly, I think a good writer could get around that. The ending indicated that the cure didn't work, and Xavier's psyche survived his body being destroyed. Jean is Phoenix, so bringing her back wouldn't shock a lot of people. And remember that no one actually saw Scott die. The explosion could easily have been caused by Phoenix temporarily losing control of Cyclops, allowing one of his optical blasts to forcibly separate them (she was unconscious when Logan and Storm found her).

Why would Scott not have returned if he'd survived? Well, that Mr Sinister seemed interested in him at one point, and we DO need a villain for the movie.

I have an outline for this particular movie if anyone is interested.

See, that's nto true. The Phoenix they wrote about in X3 was not the resurrecting entity. Singer set up the cosmic entity to be the Phoenix (which most of us know), but the writers on X3 wrote Jean as a Phoenix that was more close to what Claremont had originally intended Phoenix to be in the comics--Jean's dark submerged personality.

That being said, Jean cannot be brought back because she was only "Phoenix, Jean's dark alter ego" not "Phoenix, sum of all life past, present, and future."
