Your favourite 'Watching Brad' moments?

Warning to new readers: Spoilers Ahead!

I hope I'm not out of line posting this here. (Autolycus - PM me if this thread is inappropriate. I was going to post this within the other thread, but I was afraid I'd miss some of the responses.)

With over 150 chapters now online, I'm very curious to know your favourite moments?

For me, I have 2 favourite moments:

The first is the end of the adoption court case. I had a lot of trouble writing that mainly because I was bawling my eyes out as I did. When the judge announced that he was granting the petition, I lost it completely. Even now, I can't think about it without the faucets turning on.

The second has to be Ted's desperate flight to find the twins. My heart was pounding so hard during that writing session that you would have thought I'd run the route myself.

A close runner-up would have to be Ted's reaction at Brad running away after his proposal at Christmas.

I too find the complete story fascinating that I can't actually find any one part that is better than the other. I find them all great. The adoption chapter among other was great. Vic

Neil, you've done an excellent job with "Watching Brad" !!!
As in anyone's life there are Ups & Downs...we have reasons to celebrate
and be happy but on the other hand we all have those "down" moments
where we just cry our eyes out.
It ALL makes up the story....and makes it more lifelike and real.
Without dark....there is no light.

Neil, I'd have to agree with your second one, where he's trying to find the twins. That bit was heart-rending, especially his despairing cry, which they finally respond to.

I personally find the whole thing touching.

Yup, I have to agree with mattieboi here...the whole story is riveting, touching, moving, full of laughter and tears, exciting (and sometimes aggravating) cliff-hangers, romance and genuine soulful spousal love between two very deserving men whom God had chosen for each other...it's not just trashy gay porn, it's a truly beautiful story about soulful gay spousal love, tolerance and acceptance by their family and friends, both straight and gay...I love the whole thing, Neil--can't pick a favorite part--it's an embarrassment of riches!!!!!

Well, the entire story is a masterpiece Neil! One of the storylines that really got to me was when Warren had his surgery and we didn't know if he was going to make it. I have to tell you my stomach was in knots the entire time before he finally took a turn for the better.

Neil, it is hard to pick one or two events that are special. The entire story has brought us life as it is. I agree, there are ups and downs in life. There are Major events the we as humans go through and you have brought those into this great story. Neil, the entire story is wonderful. You should be proud and I would have to say you have created a Masterpiece. Thank you for your time and your future time in creating this most wonderful story.

Neil. Each chapter, from the first to the last, has been the continum of a beautiful and compelling tale. I cannot pick out one single chapter or event that stood significantly out above the others. There is a strong underlying message of tollerance, which is as much for the gay community to understand, appreciate and adopt, as it is for the "straights". If some gays treat all their brethren as sex objects only, then they will have missed the point, and an opportunity to improve the quality of their own lives. You have shown some of us that openness with honesty can be much more satisfying in the long run. Thank you.

I do have favorites, however, you have woven an intricate detailed rug rich in the colors of the human experience. The entire journey of Ted and Brad is a treasure. This weekend I returned to the beginning and reread the entire story! You make us laugh, you make us cry and you make us feel good about being gay. If, this work is ever published I would be the first in line to purchase a copy.

I do not know how to properly thank you for this offering from your talented heart!

My favorite part was where Warren was talking to Ted, and he tells him that
"There's no gay or straight where love is concerned, Ted. It doesn't look at gender. It looks at the person. It just happens. And when it does, it's up to the individual to decide if it's right or wrong. Does this feel wrong to you?"

"I don't know," I replied honestly. "All I know is that I want it to be right."
That just really struck a chord with me, because of my current situation.....

Neil, I would be very hard pressed to find one moment that I didn't like in the story. It kind of hits home with me, because of the age difference between my Dave and me, although it isn't as much as Brad and Ted. The feelings of doubt that Ted had experienced regarding Brad...I'd been there at one time or another too.

OK call me crass, but the part at the beginning where Ted watches Brad jerk off and give himself a self-suck was pretty memorable. Too bad Brad was so sensitive about his abundant *equipment*.

And I call myself the incorrigible romantic. What a loving and tender scene you chose, lol.

Actually, remembering the underlying story that goes with Bradley's nightly ritual, and what he was really doing, it is a fairly touching part.

But, I love the entire story, Neil - which I suspect you already know, based on my posts and PM's as I caught up with everyone else.
