I put one of my rings on my left ring finger, went for a hair cut at my (not mine where I go) salon and when the girls were asking me what was new held up my hand showing off my ring and said I Said Yes! That was met with cheers and applause, until the one girl asked so tell who is the lucky winner and I sprang it! That was met with a lot of laughter they all thought it was a pretty good one!

My first engineering job ever. After literally years of job search and having to take lower pay than the industry standard. I did not realize it was April 1st. Got a mass company email from the CEO. He announced that the company had been sold and that he wished everyone the best. Also offered to give letters of recommendation to help everyone with their job search.

I almost broke down and cried right there in the office as I stared at the screen. It was not an easy road getting there. I graduated in 2008 right at the stary of the recession so finding a professional engineering job was hard as hell.

Then I heard one of my coworkers from behind laughingly asking me if I saw the april fools joke from the ceo yet?

I forced out a little chuckle and said ya I'm reading it now.

It took me days to get over the sunken feeling I got from that email.
