Susan Boyle tops ‘Most Watched Video of 2009’ list on YouTube
Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle dominated YouTube’s “Most Watched Video of 2009” list.
For the first time since its inception in 2005, YouTube assembled a list of its most popular videos and the Scottish singing sensation’s “Britain’s Got Talent” audition song “I Dreamed a Dream” ranked No. 1 with a whopping 120 million views world wide.
According to a YouTube release, the “Wild Horses” hitmaker racked up more views than the next 3 most-watched videos on the list put together.
“David After Dentist,” which featured a seven-year-old boy recovering from some dental work that left him feeling disoriented and wondering if he would ever feel normal again, came in 2nd place with 37 million views.
3rd place went to “JK Wedding Entrance Dance” with 33 million views about a couple and their wedding party preparing for their big day.
Susan Boyle’s wildly successful debut release “I Dreamed a Dream” is currently No 1 in the North America, Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Japan and may surpass country singer Taylor Swift's "Fearless" for the top selling album of 2009.
Susan Boyle’s live performance and autograph event slated for Dec. 21 in Toronto has again been rescheduled for 2010, details pending.
