I'm not living in Canada or Siberia and we have snow at the end of October! :grrr:

In my part of the UK we awoke to a light sprinkling! As we didn't get a summer this year, I'm hoping we get an early winter and then a long spring!

I don't mind snow in the mountains, but it should be forbidden and banned in the city :grrr:

We got snow on Thursday, but it didn't stick. It was more like white rain.

Last year areas just to the north of me (Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley) had a serious snowstorm at the end of October...and, worse yet, power outages. I went to Bethlehem to do an inventory several days after the storm and the store's customers were complaining of no power.

This year? Only a hurricane predicted. I shudder to think of the power outages...!

See? I even had to turn on the heating :grrr:

Oh, the furnace has been going for a few weeks now and the frost has killed the outdoor plants, and there are very few leaves left on the trees, but no snow. (Granted, Environment Canada is calling for flurries next week.)

I hope it snows so much this winter. Hopefully, it will be the last time I have to deal with snow.

And Winter gave Spring and Summer a miss and went straight on into Autumn.

Frost has killed the outdoor plants here too. some trees have no leaves, some are yellow, others are still holding out green... but the furnace? well that is still turned off LOL

It was bright and sunny this morning, absolutely crisp, the pavement outside my house was dry, yet, on top of the car was a layer of frozen grainy looking ice. It was cold, windy and 3.5 degrees c as we set out in the car this morning. I assume we either had a case of hailstones or sleet

The trails I was tromping on just a few weeks ago are now in places covered in a foot or two of snow.

I can't wait for spring.

You should move to Melbourne. It never snows and, because of the large Greek community, olive bread is plentiful.

But you ARE living in Switzerland, so I'm not surprised at all you've got snow in October. I'd be far more surprised if you DIDN'T have snow up at that high altitude in the Alps.

Well, you know what? The snow doesn't want to see you early either!

Apologize to the snow and it'll give you a big blanket.
