Steny Hoyer, the No. 2 Democrat in the House of Representatives, has for years been a prolific campaigner on behalf of current and potential members of Congress. It was no surprise, then, that December [2017] found him in Colorado, where the party has hopes of knocking off Republican incumbent Mike Coffman.

What is going on with the corporate Democratic Party Establishment is that they are doing what they can to rig the 2018 midterm primaries for their preferred candidates.

The Democratic Party Establishment want candidates who will be on their knees for corporations and special interests and industries just as they are.

Despite the DCCC previously putting out some guidelines on how the Democratic Party’s primaries for the 2018 midterms should be conducted—that the DCCC would be neutral; that, for any candidate who does win the nomination, he/she must automatically back the party’s nominee (and not say anything negative in the general election—they are not acting in good faith. This example, for Colorado’s 6th Congressional District which, as described by Wikipedia.org, includes “all of Aurora, as well as portions of the southern (Centennial and Littleton) and northern metro area (Brighton and Henderson),” is one congressional district.

The DCCC—just like the DNC (with presidential primaries) and their superdelegates (whose single votes are worth more than 10,000 votes for each of its individuals)—wants to control just who is allowed to win nominations for office. This means, not just inside the party, they are trying to control who voters may nominate.

Do you have a problem with Trump actually threatening government folks' jobs if they didn't vote in his favour after he became president? He didn't "pressure" them. He "THREATENED" them.

Look... is the party leadership going to be influenced by principles or not? You may be fine with top down politics, but thankfully a lot of people aren't. Sure, you want electable people, but when you push out many principled voices in the process, you're all as much admitting that principles don't count and insider politics and the propping up of the establishment is all that matters. You're not as much one of the good guys as you think if this okay with you.

I want to see Democrats be bold and stand for certain principles. You're not going to get everything you want, but if you don't aim for strong progressive values in a Democratic agenda, that you are not quite so bad as the Republican crap just won't be nearly enough.
 
Yeah I don't buy the premise. There are plenty of Dems who are "Progressives" and manage to get support and cash from the DNC. Manage to work with the Democratic party which is NOT the "Progressive" party. Plenty of leaders who care about people, plenty who are doing their best for America - who because they aren't far left, are lumped together by the people who elected Trump, into this fantasy which ultimately is just a butt hurt hissy fit because they didn't get their way.
 
There is just no conspiracy to destroy "progressives" in the DNC, that's just bunk, and if you want to change the way the Democratic Party functions, get off one's collective ass and go change it.

The DNC doesn't want the far left to run in places like Pennsylvania - and - let's make this extremely clear - BECAUSE THERE IS NO PROGRESSIVE MAJORITY IN BATTLEGROUND STATES AND INSTITUTING SOME KIND OF TEA-BAGGING IDEOLOGICAL PURITY TEST IS STUPID!

I fail to see why wanting candidates that will have the widest appeal in places that might vote Republican is conspiracy.

If the far left is going to demand they be respected, they need to start respecting the Centrists and Moderates. Who ARE the majority. We go nowhere without coalition.

Perpetuating silly conspiracies about how persecuted they are, is not productive.

Thankfully these guys DO NOT speak for anyone but themselves and don't actually represent the far left much anyway.
 
Well they aren't really "conspiracy theories" there has been multiple evidence brought forward from the wiki leak releases, to Donna brazille's book, and now this. The DNC, while are suppose to remain neutral has factually thrown support around establishment backed candidates over progressives which literally have the most popular policy positions in the country who are the actual electable ones. Hell even this vid from start to finish its beyond obvious. Whelp I guess losing over 1000 seats just weren't enough for dems......

What a joke. Who the hell told you the DNC was supposed to be neutral? Santa Claus? IF YOU DON"T LIKE THE WAY THE DNC FUNCTIONS THEN STOP COMPLAINING AND GO CHANGE IT!

And I was a Democrat until they cheated millions of voters. That is why their donations and member numbers are now so low.
