Well, interesting article and i can say that when i was young, i played sports and with cars but i was also oddly fascinated by my mom's makeup kit and shopping and "pretty things." i was always concerned about my looks and style from a really young age and i remember looking through the sears catalog/department store ads as a early teen before i discovered porn and masturbating to the men's underwear ads. *|*

When i was a kid Bionic Man was popular (yeah, lol, I'm that old!). My brothers asked for Steve Austin action figures,.....guess which one I asked for...Bionic Woman, Jamie Summers.....(what's worse is,....I got it!) I probably thew it out by the next year, because I only have vague memories of opening it on Christmas. (o.k......maybe styling her hair a couple of times, ...j/k)......;)
 
I knew very early what I liked. I did 'stuff' with friends (boys) that was just awesome. Like near-sex or practice. Probably around 8-9 years old.

I had Miami Dolphins NFL jacket/shirts, not because I watched football but because I liked the colors. Lots of awkward one-sided conversations w/football fans talking at me when I wore the stuff. :confused:

I kissed a boy, and he kissed back, when I was 8. I also kissed a girl around that age but it was just that we were pretending a marriage ceremony in the backyard with other neighborhood kids and it was just a peck, with the boy it was under the covers and we were enjoying it.
 
I went over to a friend's house and played dress-up. I was the girl.
 
I liked cutting out paper dolls for the girl next door. I wasn't interested in playing with them. I just liked cutting them out.

When I was a tot of about 3 or 4, my grandmother used to put makeup on me. Not just a bit, the whole nine yards -- lipstick, blush, eye liner, mascara, eye shadow. My mother told me later that she was afraid my Gramma putting makeup on me would turn me homosexual. :lol:

It really goes back further than that, though. When I was a baby, old enough to sit up but not to stand, my mother used to put a curl in my hair on the top. It wasn't exactly girly, just really cute, and very fitting for my looks and personality.

Yeah, you could definitely say I was born this way. ..|

I also liked playing with my Tonka trucks, riding motorcycles, and (later) restoring cars in high school. I was really quite ecumenical in my interests. Still am.
 
I used to put on a wig and heels and sing in the streets.
I knew all the female singers and their songs.
Neighbors gave me candy.
They thought it was cute, I guess.
I was even on TV once.

Uhhh...

1: When I was really little I'd get my sisters to put makeup on me and I'd strut around the house in a dress calling myself by a girls name.

2: My parents would buy me heaps of boy toys but I'd either ask to play with my sisters toys or I'd just have dinner parties with my dinosaurs and toy soldiers.

3: All my friends in preschool and primary school were girls (even high school).

4: I used to always play the "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" game with other guys.

5: When I was like 7 when all other little boys were out riding bikes and playing I was inside singing along and learning the choreography to 'Baby One More Time' by Britney Spears (Who I still love to this day).

Hmmm....Yeah I was pretty gay. Strange thing is I don't act effeminate now. o_O

Let's see...

I played mostly with girl toys. Had a Cabbage Patch doll, liked Strawberry Shortcake and Rainbow Brite. They were just more colorful and interesting to me than little metal cars and whatever my brothers were playing with.

My favorite band / singers when I was younger was the New Kids on the Block, and Paula Abdul.

I had a ton of girl friends, and very few guy friends. Every time I tried to approach a girl relationship wise, we'd end up being friends because we had such similar interests but just didn't have any romantic connection.

I used to play house, tea parties, and dollies with said girl friends.

I'll have to think of some more later.:D
 
I found one my dad's porn when I was six and only wanted to look at the guys.

I liked dolls like long hair, liked trying on girls clothing during dress up. I liked female singers. I had no interest in cars or sports. I envied girls for the range of hairstyles they could wear. When I saw nude magazines, I sought out the male photos over the female ones.
 
I preferred playing with girls as playmates rather than boys. I never liked make-up though. I remember going into a 7-11 store when I was a teen. There was an "adult" magazine rack in which I was more interested at looking at Playgirl rather than Playboy.
