"1-18-08" to Get New Trailer... and a Title!

All has been relatively quiet on the 1-18-08 front for the last few months since the San Diego Comic-Con, but a source has revealed to us that the J.J. Abrams-produced monster movie will get a new trailer AND its title will finally be revealed on November 16 in front of Robert Zemeckis' animated Beowulf.

So far, we know very little about the movie beyond what we've seen in the teaser this past summer, the pictures on the official site, the director and writer (Matt Reeves and Drew Goddard) and some of its cast (Michael Stahl-David, Odet Jasmin, Mike Vogel, Lizzy Kaplan), but hopefully, more will become clear in a few weeks.

Beowulf looks like crap. It looks like someone murdered an epic poem and crapily Hollywood-ized it. There is no reason for Beowulf to be making out with Grendel's mom... none. The trailers will be online the day after I'm sure.
 
Yeah, Beowulf actually looks pretty bad.
I saw the trailer for it last night, whilst going to see 30 Days of Night.
The CGI looks tacky.

Entertainment Weekly wrote an article about male nudity in movies, and they mentioned the new Beowulf as a film that includes it. I think it's interesting for a CG movie. I'm sure it'll be at least butt-shots, but full-frontal? I might see it to find out...
 
That's how I found the vid on youtube: Cloverfield. It's a home movie of a going away party and at the end of it, it sounds like something's blown up and everyone goes out onto the streets and scream at something in the distance, but before anything happens, the camera is dropped and the screen went blank.
