10 reasons why gay marriage is wrong:

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, fastfood, polyester, and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all and shouldn't ; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, couples not wanting kids and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8 ) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children, and why if one parent dies the kid must go into foster care

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

Found this somewhere and thought it would be nice to post it here.

What a load of crap! I'm outraged! Incensed! Fit to be tied, I must say! :grrr:

This real American does NOT reject Air Conditioning!

Have you any idea how warm it gets down here in the summer? ;)

Airplanes. You left out those (clearly sinful) airplanes. If God had meant for humans to fly he would've given them wings. :p

Thanks for sharing, I had a good laugh.

Very cute;) But I don't like Gay marriage cause "marriage" has always been a straight thing, we are special people and we need to call gay unions something else, let the breeders keep marriage.

Saw the Tag Line- got pissed.

Read it and realized- DUH

Tom Cruise- 3 times married
Britney- 2 times
Liz- ?

Need I go on?

Straight people have screwed this up so bad they can't see real love in front of their face.

Originally, sex was a straight thing too. So what should we call what we do?

I don't know if denigrating what most of society holds dear is really the way to advance the acceptance of gays and lesbians... worth a shot, I suppose. :)

We can call it marriage. A marriage different in outward, 'material' essences.
A marriage in terms of commitments. Perhaps sometimes more a marriage than the old-fashioned kind.
A marriage to teach the world a thing or two that it needs to know.
