And no I'm not foreshadowing another wretched high school musical.

My 10-year reunion is the end of this month and I'm still not sure if I wish to attend.

High school was 4 terrible years for me. Truth be told, the ones whom I'd like to see I still see.

Methinks it'll just be another get-together of the 'popular' ones. Though, I hope such behaviour would subside after all this time.

Looking through the list of those attending, those "chairing" the "committee," and I'm struck by recurring feelings that caused me to never look back at those years.

On the other hand, I can drag one of the hotties I'm seeing with me and go "look who's sleeping with me." Oh, and an open bar.

I call on eM to share in my banging head against the wall

my 20 year is or was sometime this month. i honestly don't know the exact date but i know i won't be attending. i bailed on my 10th as well. why? i was not happy in high school and was very happy to leave that little town once i graduated. the few friends i had then i still have now so that's fine by me. if you choose to go then more power to you! if anything there is that open bar. ;)

I refused to go to mine last year. I saw pictures from it. Most of the people who went were people I couldn't stand eleven years ago, so I really don't think I missed anything.

I went with my Honey, to his 30th this summer. A while at 1st I did not wnat to go. I had a great time. My b/f had a blast seeing alot of his old buddies.

Everyone asked the usual ? " are you married, jobs, homes, toys, kids, ect"

All in all it was fun.

You should go and mingle and relax. You may not have a another chance.

My 10 year reunion was last year. I did not attend. My highschool years were filled with frustration and solitude. I was not popular and after seeing the list of who was going, I'm sure that nobody would even know who I was. Besides, I would have had to travel to Florida from North Carolina, find a hotel for the weekend, and buy tickets to the reunion! Instead I spent my reunion out on the boat where I could actually enjoy the weekend.

High school was not a very happy part of my life. I had a few friends, but was never 'Mr. Popular' or anything.

I did go to my 5th and 10th reunion. I was surprised to see the changes in some. One of my 'bullies' turned out to be a super nice guy and nothing like he was in high school. Unfortunately he died in a car accident several years later.

There were those that were considered the best looking in school only to show up bald or fat. And some that remained unchanged.

I doubt I would attend any future reunions, but I'm glad I went to those.

I want to go to my 20th, but won't be able to :(

I had a pretty good time at my HS, there was not a lot of issues between 'groups' as I hear about over here.

In fact, those movies seem odd to me when I was a kid.

But it's in May of next year, I think and I have to go to my parent's 40th anniversary in August

now, if both were in August, it would be perfect!

I never went to my 10th or 20th reunion, but I hear that at a 10 year reunion the main topics of discussion are: How much are you making? What kind of car do you have? Are you married? etc.

By the 20th, things are more relaxed, people talk about their kids, what they do in their freetime and the normal superficial stuff has been forgotten.

I went to HS on split sessions. We had morning people who went 0815-1215 and others who went 1230-1630 hrs. No one developed a real attachment to the place. I've never went to any of my reunions.

My 10th is in 2012. I don't think I'll attend, though. People don't change much in 10 years, but after 20 years I think everyone should be mellowed out enough for me to attend. Not that I was hated at all -- fairly well known, actually -- but I think everyone will be the same, annoying people they were in high school.

It may be worth going to see those who were a-list knocked-down a couple pegs.

Or I can just forget it all and go along with my life.

I will meditate on it... where's the scotch?

Can't you just shag one/a couple of them to make it worth it?

;)

Because they probably won't look like they did in high school ;)

But now you've got me thinking.

Maybe I should go there and just hit on everyone!

At my 10 year HSR, I was voted "Person who's changed the least."

When I showed up, someone got the idea that we'd wear our Senior Photos as part of "Hi My Name Is" badges.

Wasn't saying much, except that I still had all of my hair, and that I hadn't gotten fat!

Guys that I had secretly jerked off to back in High School, were now these fat ugly fuckers who weren't even attractive to their second wives, much less their third or fourth wives.

The hottest chicks in school were now the first, second, and third wives of some of those guys, and even they needed some Jenny Craig, and rehab wouldn't have hurt either. ..|

I'm still friends with the same people who were my friends back then, and we took that weekend as a chance to prove to ourselves that money, family, looks, cliques, and position are all fleeting.

We had a good time. :D

^^ I think you summed-up my thoughts quite well.

Maybe I should go there and just hit on everyone!

Ah. Somethin' new and different.

:p

But hey, like I said, there's a possibility of encountering someone who is also gay. Remember when Lisa Kudrow in "All Over the Guy" encountered her brother fucking in the garage? Ya know, something like that

That's strange... In my country somehow most of people say highschool is the most loving period of their life, and to me it's kinda true. We're like have reunion at least once a year, not everyone's there, but over a half. Because now we're attending different colleges and be far away from each other so it's important.
Why don't you guys give it a try? come to see who's the average boy become a hot man, who's a hot boy just come out

Had good times and had bad times in HS. Only miss a few things but overall, don't really miss it. Only have my reunion in 4 years...not sure I'll go.
