12 Sexual Types

I think some of these labels are just describing the same thing.

I think that they do this as well.

If the guy that writes on the blog link that was posted above is actually a real shrink, therapist, or someone who works in academia why are they claiming that they have to flat out hide their credentials and who they are?

XLeather, I'm a psychiatrist, not a therapist. I don't post my name on my blog or forums, because I testify a lot in court and don't want it to pop up whenever an opposing attorney googles my name. But it's easy to figure out and I've corresponded in name with many people on this site. But my credentials don't matter if you don't find the information on my blog useful.

11. Macho: Only applies to men. You are willing to have sex with other men, so long as you are the active or insertive partner. Your partner may be gay, but you consider yourself straight or a "top."

Okay, I have to disagree with the first sentence. Head to your local gay bar and you'll see that there are plenty of macho women.

There are definitely many macho women, though I think "butch" is the term they use. It may be that the butch type is the flip-side of the macho type in men.

But the interesting thing about the macho type is that it is a culturally-sanctioned role for men (at least in certain cultures) which permits them to top other men while still viewing themselves as straight. I think the dynamics would be different in masculine women, who are challenging their gender role as defined by society.
