^^ She wont die its all lies. She's the Queen for goodness sake.
We were taught that as monarch and head of the Church of England, Charles could not take the throne because he was divorced. But once Diana was dead, he was considered a widower, thus allowed to be king and head of the Church. That is why Princess Anne remarried in Scotland, the Church of Scotland allows it.
...The abdication in 1936 was brought about because of moral rather than legal objections to Edward VIII's choice of bride. ...
Tonight "Short Ride in a Fast Machine" by John Adams was played at the Proms and nobody died. The curse has been lifted.

It's true to say that the Church of Scotland is more liberal when it comes to divorce than the Church of England. That's why Princess Anne remarried in church in Scotland whereas Prince Charles remarried in a civil ceremony in England. However, there is nothing in his divorce, subsequent remarriage to a divorcee or in Diana's death which affects Prince Charles's position as heir to the throne in a legal sense. The abdication in 1936 was brought about because of moral rather than legal objections to Edward VIII's choice of bride. Things have moved on since then and those moral objections would not be raised to any great extent now.
The rules divorce for the C of E were modified in 2002, no?
Henry VIII made a pastime of divorce while ruling the Church of England.
