I kind of love that they recognized "Hot In Cleveland"....honestly one of my favorite comedies of the year

I'm really rooting for Mila Kunis and Natalia Portman this season.

I'm really disappointed that Denis O'Hare (Russel Edgington in True Blood) was not nominated for anything this season. His performance on the show was absolutely amazing.

Agreed.

I think one of the main reason he didn`t get in was because it`s much harder for actors who were considered as supporting on their shows to get GG & SAG nominations. SAG does not have supporting categories for TV shows, so the ones who got nominated were usually "leads". Apparently quite a few people were very shocked that Chris Colfer & Jane Lynch of Glee got in this year, since they went for supporting in other awards. On the other hand the Golden Globes, although has supporting categories, does not separate drama/comedy/miniseries for those. So it`s also quite hard to get in.

I definitely think he will have a better shot at the emmys next year.

I am disappointed that Julianne Moore was not nominated for "The Kids Are All Right" and Andrew Garfield was overlooked for "The Social Network".

I also noticed that this is the third time that Annette Bening and Hilary Swank have been up against each other. The others being:

2004 - Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby) beat out Annette Bening (Being Julia)

1999 - Annette Bening (American Beauty) beat out Hilary Swank (Boys Don't Cry)

Best two out of three, anyone?

I would love Annette Benning to win for The Kids Are Allright because she was marvelous. Spot on performance.

Christian Bale for The Fighter or John Hawkes for Winter's Bone.

Jessie Eisenberg for Social Network.

I would love for it to be Natalie Portman's year. I think she's fantastic.

However, I do want to see Annette Bening pick up an Oscar, after losing out for "American Beauty" in which she was just phenomenal.

And I hope, hope, hope that Julianne Moore picks up an Oscar this year. She's been passed over too many times, and her body of work is just incredible. Her Oscar is long overdue.

Very interesting how the SAG Nominees do not "mirror" the Golden Globe nominees like in 2009....The same Actors took home the same awards @ every ceremony last year...This year the Oscar nominees will be a toss-up...In a way that's a good thing because "Campaining" won't be optional this-go-round...There does not appear to be any dead-on LOCKS for anything...Yet..

Hillary also took home the Oscar that year....

Annette did win the SAG that year, but once agian Hillary took home the Oscar that year as well...It's gonna be an interesting 3-peat for those 2 Amazing Actresses...

they won't even give Streep a third....

It's not that Voters "diss" Streep because she has 2 Oscars it has more to do with the Competition she battled every time...Every Actress that Streep has lost to probably gave a better performance...

Streep has 1 "Best Actress" Oscar & 1 "Best Supporting Actress" Oscar....So it's not like the voting academy is keeping her from winning 3 "Best Actress" Awards..If she wants her 2nd "Best Actress" Oscar she better deliver that one-of-a-kind performance that the Voters can't over-look...She's beyond capable of doing so...The right script helps a whole lot......

There are supporting role noms for motion pictures but not for television?

That's fucking stupid.

^ Agreed. I never quite understood why they are snubbing (often) very great supporting performances in television shows.
