OTOH, I have never put an ad on CL. Perhaps this is because I know the internet isn't magic (sorry, Kulindahr), and won't get me what I want just for the asking.

Don't knock it 'till you've tried it. I've met up with quite a few REALLY HOT guys from craigslist. Most of them I would never go up and talk to in real life assuming they're not interested.

You do have to sift through a lot of bullshit - post an ad saying you only want someone under 30 and they MUST send a picture, you'll get ten 40+ year olds who don't send a pic. Then there's the really creepy people, the really ugly people, and the flakes...but I say it's worth sifting through 50 emails if you get a great BJ from a hot 18 year old.

Some good thoughts have been posted, but I beg to differ with some.
Younger guys are sought & therefore don't need to "advertise" their existence. And one is not suppose to view "under 18" guys with lust (unless one looks GOOD in prison garb).
One's sexual drive has less to do with age & more to do with physical health. Thus 'daddies' are desired by a very real segment.
Older guys - or should I say mature guys - are usually seeking MORE than just sex. To mis-quote Judge Judy.."Beauty fades,..but personality (she had stupid here) lasts forever".
Youth & physical beauty are very nice. I would much rather have someone with whom I might share a thought or a laugh.
(And I don't view myself as thinking in a mature manner - forget my advance years. LOL)

If you found some steaming hot hunk who was so focused on himself that you bearly made it to the level of a used condom in his mind, you too would realize that physical beauty - while highly desirable - isn't the whole package.

What I am say is, don't focus only on looks. Some very ugly customers come in very pretty packaging.

PFFFT..... CL. just another way for closet cases to get off. Make them pay for a site, then see what happens. They won't show up... Just my thoughts.

Just reading the ads on CL (ok, I'm a weirdo and find it highly entertaining to read them), the high ratio of closet cases is remarkable. For better or for worse, it's roughly the online equivalent to picking somebody up in a public restroom. Sometimes there are hot guys looking for some quick action, but mostly it's pathetic middle aged closet cases.
