2 Cellos - Welcome to the Jungle

Hi, Everybody

Just got back from seeing "our" boys in concert. AWESOME!!! :=D:

They look better in person than in their vids. Stjepan is really quite a Cutie!

Luka is more handsome, even with his current beard and mustache. And, true to form, more demure than his nutty partner. \:/

Stjepan was doing a few suggestive things with his cello that could have been considered practically obscene.

The one I really wanted to pounce on was their drummer!

In addition to the light show, the music was PHENOMENAL! And, with the boys encouragement, the audience was mainly on their feet, singing, dancing, and having a Great FUN Time! Talk about HIGH Energy! (!) (!w!)

Now I LOVE those guys even more!! (group) :luv2:

:wow:

Keep Smilin'!! (*8*)
Chaz :luv:

Chaz,
I'm glad you got to go and have a great time - even if I AM more than a little jealous!

Good grief. I'm an idiot. #-o

I didn't even know this thread existed (just never open this subforum)! Found it after it was referenced in another thread!

Thanks for the brief review. Only 5 weeks left to wait until my turn! I am getting excited, just based on the number of smileys you included in your review. Question? In the live show, did they do anything 'traditional?' Just wondering, I really don't care what they play, it should be a blast. I did ask to be OFF work the day after, I expect to be exhausted.

One other question, about how long did the show last? Wondering if we will have time for a late dinner afterwards (although there are some decent late night options Downtown these days. :D

An addendum to my previous post in this thread:

You guys are EVIL!!!!!!!!! *%%*

I just realized I squandered over FOUR HOURS of my evening/early morning going through your thread.

YIPES.

I am certainly glad I do not have to go to work tomorrow.

I now have several other things bookmarked for further review. Perpetuum Jazzile is on my list, along with the Piano Guys. There are others too, good grief, I've been out of the loop.

Thanks for the thread, sorry I have missed it for so long. :(

Yooper,
I'm glad you found it - better late than never.

Is it really squandering time if you are learning what is out there to enjoy, and have ready, no research required access to same?

I know, it's hard to do "just a little" at a time when there is so much great stuff to listen to.

Do you like Opera? How about Rock?

Just add our boys to this...

Yooper, Buddy!

Since it was YOU who alerted me to their concert Here, I figured you'd been following this thread. Otherwise, I would have certainly told you about it. ..|

Our concert start was delayed, almost an hour, because people were still coming in. I don't think it was because they were tardy, there were just so many to process! ](*,)

They opened with "Celloverse" (which I'm not all that a fan of), playing to prerecorded, overlaid, tracks by them. That concerned me a bit since it wasn't what I had come to hear. I wanted LIVE. I was praying the rest wouldn't be dubbed. Thank "Goodness" it wasn't. \:/

I don't know what their playlist will be there, and I don't want to give too much away. It's better when it's a surprise and fresh. However, after several "call backs", their final piece was traditional simply to calm everybody down.

It's surprising how three guys can get so many all revved up. You're going to have a BLAST! (!) (!w!)

I'm sure you're going to be Smillin'!! (*8*)

I couldn't make it work to get to Buffalo when they were out this way about a year ago.

A reminder of where it all began. People simply couldn't believe that cellos (or cello players) could do this.

That was a most welcome post today - I got it in my e-mail notifications - listened to it and a few others at work today.

Good! I saw this last night, but I don't know how to copy paste on the Kindle, yet.
