2 Cellos - Welcome to the Jungle

I finally found out their drummer is Dusan Kranjc. What a morsel!  :luv2:

I could have told you that. I have a few screen caps of him on my desktop.

^ :-<

When I saw them here I did get the impression that Stepjan was quite "feely" with Dusan! (!) (!w!)

Luka seemed to just shrug that off.

^ Actually, DQ posted that photo quite some time ago (that's where I got it), but he didn't notice that Stjepan's hand was groping Dusan's butt until I mentioned it.

Unfortunately, the cameras focus on Luka and Stjepan for the most part, so screen grabs and photos of Dusan are rare.

OK, for the Classical Music lovers - who also love our hot young duo/trio - a FULL concert.

^ Awesome! :=D: ..| :lol:

And, then, there is this ...

I'm enjoying these, a lot but I have to go close my eyes.

Wipe out tonight.

One of my favourite pieces of music: Maurice Ravel's Introduction and Allegro for harp, flute, clarinet, and string quartet.

When I hear this, I stop what I'm doing, close my eyes, and lose myself in it.

I've often heard that such music is no longer composed anymore. However, I hold we don't have to look any further than the movie and entertainment industry.

We often overlook the artistry, and talent, that goes into what we merely dismiss as "themes", usually with a full orchestra.

As an example, from SO many ...

^ I think that, with a lot of orchestral movie music, the music itself isn't even heard by the audience if it is done well, but sits somewhere in the back of the mind and makes the movie infinitely more enjoyable and sets the moods far better than any other music. John Williams is a master at composing for music that very few people even realise they've been listening to.

Neil,
I think you've shown me Rainer's work before - It's great!
And our boys, well, yes. I wonder if they'd agree with Rob P on the Cello as a youth thing?!

Chaz,
I'm well acquainted with Pachabel's Rant - it is wonderful.

Chaz,
We went to the Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage CineConcert at the Auditorium Theatre when it came to Rochester - it blends pieces of ALL of the Star Trek genre - ALL of the series and the motion pictures, too - pulling like themes from each and blending the video clips with a live orchestra whose stage was set as the Bridge.

John Williams has certainly made his mark on the latter half of the 20th and early part of the 21st centuries.

Nope. Wasn't me. I've never seen it before until the day I posted it. Great orchestra to keep up with him.

As for the Canon, here's how Piano Guys' Steven Sharp Nelson handles it:

I'd forgotten about this rendition.

The music world gets their own back on Pachelbel.
