2 Cellos - Welcome to the Jungle

Hallelujah - Sung by Canada's own KD Lang, composed by Canada's own Leonard Cohen, Vancouver Olympics, 2010. By the way, KD has been out for many decades.

Damn it, DQ! You've got to stop this! :-$

I don't generally watch music vids. I don't "do" the iPod thing. Though I do have a musical background, with playing various instruments, singing solo, also in chorus, and choir. Heck! I don't even personally own any albums. I listen to whatever the radio is playing, or my "roomies" have. As much as I love music, and being part of it, it's not something that I "follow" all that much. ;)

Tonight, I was hoping to write more of "Out of The Mist", but you managed to distract me with "JAG". I've "lost" a couple hours, doing what I wouldn't normally do! #-o

All I can say is ... Thank You! \:/

I've spent too much time in this thread! (group)

Keep Smilin'!! (*8*)

Neil! You're not helping!!  (*8*)

I've watched KD Lang sing it before - and I knew she was out a long time ago.

Chaz, you didn't *have* to watch - you could have just listened while you wrote.

Yeah, right - he's way to emotionally charged.

Lord knows what this will do for our New England Cape village/town and its Summer Staff!

It's going to mean that an update is not going to be "cumming" as soon as hoped.

I don't regret that, though. Spending most of this evening, in this thread, has proven to be Amazing! ..| (group)

Keep Smilin'!! (*8*)

I'm glad you enjoyed the R&R. That, in and of itself could mean all manner of things for our boys - never mind the musical interludes

^ Not what I expected, but very enjoyable.

It made me smile to see the 2 conductors on screen at the same time, one actually conducting the orchestra and the other just pretending.

We like to mix it up a bit - get the esoteric out for everyone's viewing enjoyment.

This is a special video with a little background story. Jean Michel Jarre is a very famous 'electronic synthesiser' musician with a lot of albums under his belt. This piece was composed for his album 'Rendez-Vous', and it was to be a special piece indeed. It was composed for the American astronaut Ron MacNair who was a very accomplished saxophone player. When he boarded the space shuttle for his trip into space, his saxophone went with him, along with a playback machine and a recording machine. Ron was to play this piece in space and his recording would be incorporated into the soundtrack.

Sadly, Ron perished in the Challenger explosion along with his fellow astronauts shortly after lift off on January 28, 1986. The piece, which was to feature Ron MacNair, became a tribute to him. It is a haunting tune, but one which has kept Ron's memory alive.

It is named 'Ron's Piece':

Especially with the heartbeat throughout, and the heartbeat stopping is the last thing you hear.

We pause now for a brief interlude with the Eggner trio: Franz Schubert's Notturno (Nocturn) in E-flat major

Nice, Quiet, soothing by and large.

Not sure if it's soothed this savage beast this evening, though.

^ It's just a pleasant tune that I enjoy.

Meanwhile, there's no video. Just music. Michael Jackson's 'They Don't Care About Us'

If you want video, here's an interesting version:

In the video of "Wake Me Up", did Luka call Stjepan "Stan"? ..|

When Luka was talking about their "Old Man" video ...
