It's a shame that Kylie doesn't get airplay in the States. Her new song is great - fun, catchy and energetic. Rolling Stone rated it 97th in their Top 100 Songs of 2007 even though it wasn't released in the U.S.

In case you want to hear it:

I felt the same way about Robbie Williams' Rudebox. Great album with some great songs like "Rudebox" "Viva Life on Mars" "She's Madonna"

For anyone who appreciates '80s throwbacks, you can see Rudebox video here: http://uk.launch.yahoo.com/robbie-williams/

That song was suppose to be used in the Doctor Who Christmas special that she starred called "Voyage of the Damned"

But for some reason it wasn't.....don't know why

i sometimes check American Top40 singles,

and most of the songs are rubbish

For some reason I just cant get into her. I love her song "Slow" though. Thought was her best one.

I prefer her sister.

She should release "Like a Drug" as her second single. That song is addicting.

Americans should be glad they've never had Robbie Williams inflicted upon them. He's the fucking anti-Christ. He's got his head up his big fat arse. The UK is divided into people who like him and people who have a soul.

I love Kylie, you can just pick up her songs and it's all happy happy happy! Slow is great, also Where The Wild Roses Grow, Confide In Me, Come Into My World, Better The Devil You Know...

I love Kylie so much!

I too wish she was huge here in the States like she is everywhere else.

America has hands down the worst taste in music........

Can't wait for Kylie's album to be released here.

I love Speakerphone & In My Arms!!!!

xyboyms, you don't have to wait for Kylie's new album to be released in the United States. You can just order it on amazon.com like my dad did for me. I got the album for christmas and it is great.

bokan800, i agree like a drug is a great song and should definitely be a single. I also think sensitized and nu-di-ty should be released as singles.

US Domestic release of "X" is scheduled for Feb 12. She's scheduled to appear in a series of US promo tour this and next month, apparently. Lead single for the US is "Wow".

I actually adores "2 Hearts" the most on this album and playing it to death. Although it's an underwhelmed come back single but the sales in the UK was actually topping "Slow", "I Believe In You" and few others, without hitting #1 spot.

In fact, almost half of the songs on her album, particularly "Like A Drug", "Speakerphone", "In My Arms", "Heart Beat Rock", "The One" (Musically similar to "I Believe In You" produced by Scissor Sisters in '04), "Nu-Di-Ty" should all be singles. "Wow" is on my bottom list.

It's good to hear that they are going to release it in the US. "Wow" is an interesting choice for a first single. Like someone mentioned earlier, I look at the American charts (both Mediabase and Billboard) and look at the Top 40 and scratch my head sometimes. Our tastes are so incredibly different from those overseas.

I really love "The One". The "love me, love me, love me, love me" bit is like a trance.

Wow is actually the second single after 2 hearts, I still need to buy the album, I usually wait a year untill they go cheap :p

Wow is the 2nd single in the UK, but apparently "In My Arms" is the 2nd across Europe

I really love "The One". The "love me, love me, love me, love me" bit is like a trance.

It has been labelled as the "gay anthem" of year, no wonder! Love it.

She is amazing, her sister not so. She uses just WAY to many samples and remakes for me to respect her. But this song is out standing, she out dose her self all the damn time. The remix for this song is amazing as well, just a bit choppy in places.

What I meant was that "Wow" is interesting choice as a first single for US as "2 Hearts" wasn't officially released here, no??

Album is pretty kicking, I ordered it from Amazon as well. Outstanding stuff.

I really like Wow, Speakerphone, The One and Stars.. nothing else on the album really grabs me.

Kish Mauve is the mastermind of "2 Hearts" and let Kylie did the twist with it.

2 Hearts is extremely different to current radio airwaves so I'm rather puzzled why not give it a try. Or they just don't want to have the album go flop in the US like when they released "Slow" for Body Language.

Oddly, Kylie has not gotten US radio play / attention since her 80's debut.

Not true. Her Fever album was huge here in America. That's when I got introduced to her. "Can't Get You Outta My Head" was all over radio and MTV/VH1 and all the other videos from Fever were played on MTV all the time. She was on all the shows (The Tonight Show, Saturday Night Live, TRL).

Unfortunately she hasn't had any play/attention since then. They played "Slow" on MTV once or twice then it just went away.

I hope "Wow" catches on......

Apparently there's a new twist because "Speakerphone" may ended up being the lead single in the US.

By the way, here in Vancouver the gay club is doing a kylie night next wednesday.

I'm excited to hear that she is going to fully promote X here in the US. I brought an import at Virgin Records at a ridiculous price (around $30) I'm so impatient...
