I would maybe get one simple tattoo on a non obvious part of my body if I found the right one. Otherwise, this crazy tattooing of high percentages of skin is just dumb in my book.

I don't hate tattoos Spec. I just don't get the overkill appeal of tattoos is all. Same with piercings. If I get a tattoo it would be something meaningful, not something to please other people.

omfg. Tattoos have nothing to do with hipsters and they're not a fad. They've been around for an enormous amount of time. Do you read English?

From what I see..I think tribal tats look better if they're ...
of course they must be 'neat' so they have to be carved by skillful artist but not only that.
I think it has to do with how 'sparse' the design. It better be sparse/wider/larger than to be small and intricate because the tats will be seen as ornament from distance. A too small design will look rather busy and obscure.

Yes it could small intricate design too but the ink quality must 'pop' and the design must be neat.

Isn't the whole "Tribal" fad getting old yet ???

I'm not like 100% against tattoos... but I think they should augment the guy, not BE the guy.

Sorta like, I want a well rounded guy who happens to be gay. Not a Gay guy who might have a couple hobbies.

In most of these pictures, it just kinda seems like they're posing in this "Hey Look! I gotta tattoo!!!" pose, like that tattoo is the best thing about him and all he has going for him.

That must be why I visit JUB Land everyday.

But back to the topic; I've noticed the lovers of permanent-flesh-paint seem to have avoided this thread. I knew the fad would pass quickly over the 3 years I've been visiting JUB Land.

Avoiding? No. However, I'm also unwilling to engage on this particular topic when your best argument against tattoos are "Someone, somewhere, doesn't like them. And by 'someone' I mean me."

In other words, step up the game - interacting just ain't worth it anymore.
