where exactly did this thread go off topic?
I just rereead the entire thing, and the most i can see is that people offered dis agreeing and different opinions on the topic, but did so in a respectfull way.
Am I missing something?

Nothing got deleted. At least I'm not aware of it. The thread went 'off topic' within a half-dozen posts. Instead of discussing the topic (which was about a small portion of the group commanding a vast portion of the board), it turned into a discussion about how I should simply ignore topics I don't like and get a life.

they did say that they didnt think it was as big a deal as you, as they discussed your topic.
They offered solutions to your concerns as well
Are you saying you consider it a hijack if someone offers an opposing opinion on your topic? that id someone disagrees with you then its off topic?

No, I do not. In a thread about recipes, someone might joke about using home-made pancakes as temporary gaskets for their car. That is not a hijack, even if a few more jokes follow. It becomes a hijack when the rest of the discussion is about automotive repairs.
Neither am I a liar, and therein lies the problem.

As I see it, there is a small group of members who find fault in just about everything here. If it's not F&G, it's hijacking. If it's not hijacking, it's congratulatory threads. If this group had the power to delete everything here they did not like, they would ultimately shut down the site because they would perpetually find something to grouse at.
That calls for a big Amen!

if there are 20 percent threads that are congrats threads on the front page, you have two choices....
make other threads that are not congrats threads and play in them
or
make a complaint thread

that is the blunt truth that i have been tryign to say for a few pages here. No matter how nice I was about it, though, someone took offence. Hell I even made a bunch of non congrats threads just so the guy would feel better and come back and play with all of us.
