Hi,

I'm 20 and have been circumcised since I was a baby. Until now I never realy noticed, but I have a strange scar on my penis.

Is it normal ? I thought circumcision removed only the foreskin why would there be such a long scar here ? What do you think of it ?

Quite normal and nothing to be concerned about. It is a 'join' that was created when you were a foetus in the womb. It may be a little more pronounced than on other guys. That line will run round from your balls to your anus and is a remnant from the deciding moments when you developed as a male rather than female according to your chromosomes.

You can see a similar 'scar' on this dick running down beside the vein...

The 'scar' is clear on this uncut cock confirming that it is nothing to do with circumcism

Same here cut not by choice at birth but to this day wish I was uncut.

Thanks for your help, you're right. I have done some research and the scientific term for this is penile raphe.

Kind of wish I was uncut too. Strange thing is I'm french and here circumcision isn't nearly as common as in the US. I never really asked my parent why they had it done, because it's not for religious reasons either.

I suffered the same 'abuse'. A woman doctor caused my infant cock to bleed by pulling back the foreskin and she then told my mother that I needed to be circumcised - quite unnecessarily and I was embarrassed throughout my childhood when other uncut kids made fun of my dick. The procedure was uncommon in the UK and even less so now.

I think your dick is perfect!

I am so glad my mom and Dad could not afford it at the time and am uncut! I think it is barbaric. I can maybe understand it thousands of years ago but I think it was done to reduce sensation sort of like the mutilation that is done to women in some countries. What I can never understand is religious Jews, Muslims who think God is all but made this mistake it is sick!

Paul your dick is beautiful ! I love all cocks, but cut ones are my favorite :)

It's just the seam where God sewed you together. I don't know about yours, but mine is very sensitive to touch, in a good way.

That is the correct term. The raphe extends from the tip of the penis to the anus on men. On some guys, it is a flat silvery line similar to a scar while on others it is a ridge with a visible amount of skin that protrudes. It's normal and is often rich in nerve endings, so in some guys it is an erogenous area.
