Gas is going up daily in price (refineries are switching to summer blend as they do every year, continuing demand in Asia, bi-partisan pressure on Iran), only new jobs that I know of are contract labor jobs - not real jobs, more people are giving up on looking for work (assumption based on no sources).

I agree. A VP is usually a strategic pick to garner votes and favoritism from a demographic or home state. Right now Biden is a net zero gain for Obama. It wouldn't hurt him at all to switch things up with a new VP that can give a burst of energy to his campaign. Remember, the GOP's field is horrific, so they're desperately going to use Christie or Rubio to energize the general election.

Especially Webb. With him on there, I might just actually be persuaded to consider voting for my first "D" for president. I would feel fine with a man who was once Secretary of the Navy, and who stood up to a president he served under as a matter of conscience, a "heartbeat from the presidency".

Hmm, I'll have to look into them. Virginia and Ohio are going to be important swing states for sure. I think Virginia would particularly be helpful because I feel Obama can still secure Ohio with enough effort.

I think there's a pretty good chance Obama will switch running mates, but not until he knows the GOP running mate and, for that matter, the GOP candidate.
