My partner is in love with the new Bviper. I'm assuming that'll be our next car.

desipite being for the american market, so we won't get any of your models, there is one main exception.

The Nissan Altima.

Finally the V8 supercars will have another contender, I miss the days when it was a touring car championship and cars such as skylines and sierra cosworths were destroying the track.

Lets hope it goes well, I would like to see an altima in person though, they will not release it to the public until its debut in the race series.

I'd like to know some specs on what their race car plans are for the altima...

Yes. The Nissan Altima is supposed to be the replacement for the Nissan Maxima in the Australian market.

The Nissan Maxima sold in North America is entirely a different car than the Nissan Maxima sold in Australia.

I think Nissan has neglected the Maxima for a while now. It's strange because the Altima is now bigger inside and longer outside than the Maxima.

I hope that Nissan introduces a new Maxima that can directly compete with the full-sized Chevy Impala, Ford Taurus, and Toyota Avalon.

Back in the early to mid 1990s, the Nissan Maxima was the car enthusiast's choice. Does anyone remember "4DSC"?

I wonder if you're actually interested in this, or are just attempting to be overly excited because you think it's oh so masculine.

Oh, I'm really interested in cars :D

I'm even more interested in finding a masculine, manly man who is a Top, so he can pound me in the back seat :p

(Of a BMW or Mercedes-Benz. I'm not a ho)

I loved the new Viper

Why a gay guy cannot like things any normal lad likes?
You know not all homosexuals are into Britney Spears
Stereotyping much?

Plus being (genuinelly) interested in cars, sport, videogames it's the best way to pull a straight guy, that's the only way you can get close enough to get a good chance.........and it works

R.I.P. Dr. Ferdinand Porsche. After 50 years the 911 is still the essence of a sports car.

Someday they'll learn to pronounce the name correctly.

edited for anti 911 humor ..|

I do like the GT3 and the sport classic (finally they actually bring back the fuchs wheels.

And in regards to the Maxima/Altima, the AuDM Maxima is quite unpopular here, not for quality or pricing reasons, just because it doesn't seem to suit well to local tastes. They are decent cars though.

If the Altima gets some media hype generated while making a debut in a race series, it might actually sell well (as long as it is priced reasonable).

I'm loving the new Cadillacs! Hot damn! The ATS and XTS are fuckin' beautiful! I'm a bit disappointed that the proportions of the production version of the XTS aren't as pleasant as the prototype, but the car is still cool.

The newer Audis (A8 and A7) are some great looking cars.

The dashboards in the latest BMW's are much-improved, while the opposite is true for the latest batch of Lexus (dash's in the new GS and ES = yuck).

EDIT: Oh yeah, at our local auto show, I was able to drive both hybrids from Hyundai--the Sonata and the Optima. The acceleration is good, and I didn't notice any shutter during the transition from electric motor to gasoline engine.

The U.S. version of the Passat drives a lot smaller than it looks.

The Hyundai Equus feels big, and there's no voice-activated infotainment , but it's a really nice car.

You made good sense and I agree with you until you went into your warped fetish for snagging a straight guy.
Shit I am gay I'm not trying to trap a straight guy.
The rest of your post is right on though. But just fucking out there, try meeting a gay dude who likes cars or sky diving and Metallica not tricking straight guys for sex unless you just dig them for friends.

Can I ask you why do you thing it is a warped fetish?
Personally I have more sex with straight guys than gay guys.
Since I fucked with my best friend (now married and with 2 kids) when I was 16, for me pulling a straight bloke has never been that difficult if I really try hard.
I am not interested in having a gay BF, I have a GF but I also mess around with other blokes for fun (I like sex with guys more).

I consider myself straight although technically I am bisex.
I play football and Judo, I like cars, I watch sports, I love the ladies but I like cock too (and the man's body).
I don't know how normal it is, but from my experience there are plenty of men exactly like me.

One thing is sure, a gay guy can't pull a straight lad unless the latter is heavily drunk, so what your saying is perfectly understandable.
But for another "straight" guy is much more easy, you have to trust me on this one.

I don't see why cars are a straight interest.

Looking at it from its bare, basic components it is a form of art mixed with technology and engineering which is a sexless interest.

That is unless your just interested in DRYYVIN DEM CHEVVIES TO MAKE DEM MURRIKANS PROUD (despite mostly being korean Daewoos).

Usually I have hated every American car I have driven, although I really would love to drive the Viper, it just seems so... excessive and silly in a Lamborghini kind of way.

the Impala looks nice too, however I believe the only American Chevy we are set to receive is the Malibu. It looks nice, hopefully it won't be a slushbox like the cruze.

the 2013 Cadillac XTS:

i'm not a big Chevy fan, but this looks okay. 2013 Chevrolet Impala:

this does a bit more for me though. 2013 Bentley Mulsanne Mulliner:

I'll be there on Tuesday. The Javits center is an enormous venue. Wear comfortable shoes if you go, no heels!

I love the look of the Chevy Impala strangely, the rest look naff to my tastes.

Actually if that Chevy came to Australia it would probably sell like hotcakes if it was prices in the high 20's or low 30's.

Personally I find the Impala rather boring, while the Cadillac is not too bad looking even for the European market.

Something that really annoyed me is the seeing the new Range Rover Evoque convertible.
As soon as I saw it I thought "WTF?!"
How to kill a Classic brand like Land Rover, I can't imagine what they were smoking when they decided to make a Range Rover convertible
What's next a Ferrari SUV 4x4?

land-rover-announces-range-rover-evoque-convertible-concept-0.jpg

Car shows are cool, even though I don't ever believe a new car is worth the price.

Well car shows are nice because you get see, touch, and sit inside the cars, but without the sales people descending upon you, trying to sell you the car.

What's next a Ferrari SUV 4x4?

I know!!

What kind of car company that specializes in only selling sports cars would try to sell SUVs?

I mean, Porsche would never sell a SUV 4x4, right?

Oh wait...

Jay, that's exactly my grip with carmakers nowadays
If Ferrari makes a turd shaped car it will sell (look at the FF), because it has the prancing horse badge on it.

Carmakers used to have their distinctive selling point
Now Mercedes sells city cars, Porsche sells SUVs, Aston Martin sells a rebranded Toyota (Cygnet), and Land Rover sells convertible cars
What a fucking mess.........no wonder so many carmarkers are going bust each year, they all sell the same shit now
