Mark September 23 in your diary, kids, because that’s when Danish electronica maestro Trentemoller will make his third album, entitled Lost, available to the world. The product of “endless months of studio isolation”, the album follows acclaimed predecessors Into The Great Wide Yonder and The Last Resort.

A logical extension of his work and, as the official spiel puts it, a “great big fuck you to whatever genre you thought you had him boxed into”, Lost retains the producer’s love of combining ambient and organic sounds with club-ready moves, but avoids falling into the trap of sounding the same as the rest of his work. “People wanted something similar to the last album, but if you’re getting to the point of listening to people and what they think of your sound…Well, that’s not for me,” the producer writes.

Boasting twelve tracks that are said to be more streamlined and structured than the cinematic and sprawling Into The Great Wide Yonder, the album features a bevy of collaborators, from personal influences to burgeoning talent. Just to name a few, we can expect the likes of Kazu Makino from Blonde Redhead, Ghost Society, Low and Jana Hunter from Lower Dens to add their unique touches to the record.

Lost will be released worldwide on September 23, 2013. Check out the full tracklisting below.

01. The Dream (feat. Low)
02. Gravity (feat. Jana Hunter of Lower Dens)

Summer Camp have announced that they will release their eponymously titled second album on 9th September!

Summer Camp are Jeremy Warmsley and Elizabeth Sankey - the "head and the heart" of the band respectively, as they describe themselves. Summer Camp is the follow-up to their debut album Welcome to Condale whose twelve tracks of lushly melodic pop songs garnered crticial acclaim.

Produced by legendary producer Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur), the result is an eleven-track marvel - a confident, fully-realised body of work.

Moving away from his recent work with atmospherics, Hebden spins together incongruent samples (turntable scratches, spurts of bass, random vocal bits) for an experimental take on a grimy club banger."

The Field announces new album, Cupid's Head

Slated for release through Kompakt, the artist's long-time home, the LP is a relatively brief affair, with just six tracks in total. The producer, real name Axel Willner, said the album is "about visions of the future, tiny actions and their consequences, about sentimentality and most certainly...about life." He added: "When I started to work on Cupid's Head it was quite awkward. I felt that I had nothing to put into a new album and I'm not the type to sit down and force something out in the studio. But then, after a few modest attempts, I got a first loop together and running which turned out to be 'No.No....' It was a revelation of sorts as making it felt new to me, and different, and that’s when it all came out."

Cupid's Head is Willner's fourth album, and the first made using only hardware. A press release says it "explores a darker and slower pace" than his previous LPs as The Field, and takes its cues from his Loops Of Your Heart and Black Fog side projects.

Tracklist
01. They Won’t See Me
02. Black Sea
03. Cupid’s Head
04. A Guided Tour
05. No. No...

Donna Summer Remix Album Due In October

The legacy of the late Donna Summer continues to live on, as a new remix album celebrating the diva's career is due out in October.

"Love to Love You Donna" will be released on Oct. 22 through Verve Records, and is produced by Dahlia-Ambach Caplin and Randall Poster. The project features new re-workings of classic Summer tunes from the likes of Giorgio Moroder, Frankie Knuckles, Eric Kupper, Chromeo & Oliver and Hot Chip, among others.

The legendary Moroder, who co-produced most of Summer's albums released between 1975 and 1980, contributes a pulsating remix of "Love to Love You Baby" for the project. Moroder recently premiered the cut live during his DJ set at the Way Out West festival in Gothenberg, Sweden (Aug. 9). Moroder co-wrote the song with Summer, and it became her first hit single on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching No. 2 on the chart in February of 1976.

Knuckles and Kupper reworked "Hot Stuff" for the collection, while Hot Chip took on the classic album cut "Sunset People," from the "Bad Girls" album. The new set's first single is Chromeo & Oliver's remix of "Love Is In Control (Finger On the Trigger)."

A full track list for the album will be announced soon.

The project came together at Verve because of the long friendship between David Foster (Verve Music Group's Chairman) and Summer's family, says Mike Rittberg, Verve/Universal Music Group's VP of artist development/promotion. The set was initially conceived as a "tribute" album, but soon turned into a full-on remix project.

"Love to Love You Donna" is not -- at this point -- part of a longer-term, multi-album deal with Summer's estate and Verve Records.

Summer earned a total of 32 hit singles on the Hot 100 in her lifetime, with 14 of those reaching the top 10, before she passed away in May 2012. She claimed a top 40 hit every year from 1976 and 1984, and between 1976 and the end of 1982, she had more top 10 hits (12) than any other act.

Her biggest singles include her four Hot 100 No. 1s: "MacArthur Park," "Hot Stuff," "Bad Girls" and "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)" with Barbra Streisand.
