2017 is bad for music ??

I mentioned this somewhere else so here again I love John Mayer's In The Blood from his new releases.
 
I've purchased a number of good CDs in 2017:

Aimee Mann Mental Illness
Honeychain Crushed
Blondie Pollinator
Juliana Hatfield Pussycat
Elise Davis The Token (came out in 2016 but just purchased)
The Charlatans Different Days

 
There have been a number of breakout stars this year who I've really liked.

Camilla Cabello.


Dua Lipa.


I think there has been some decent music this year.
 
The charts are not what they used to be, I think it has something to do with streaming services.
Harry Styles' "Sign Of The Times" should have been the international smash hit, it has "evergreen" written all over it.
Then why did it not happen?

Still, I think this year was better than 2016.


 
There were good and bad songs like every year.
Maybe the artists were not so creative in 2017.
