Despite only going shopping every two weeks, changing gloves and masks for every store, and beyond practicing social distancing ... I contracted a fever tonight at 5:00 pm of a 101.4F. Two Tylenol and four hours later, my fever plummeted down to 101.3. Now I am just waiting to see what ibuprofen can do. Other than the fever, I have absolutely no other symptoms!!! I just fear for my little boy. Thankfully, my second to last boyfriend has agreed to come move in for the next two weeks, as I intentionally isolate entirely. My son and him have a great relationship, and this way, I don't have to subject any more family members to my possible Covid-19 infection, if I do indeed have it. There is currently no cure, other than time. So not knowing, having refused a sinus lobotomy, I will isolate, and Travis is here to care for us. <3

It would be unusual for COVID-19 to have only fever as a symptom. It usually comes with a dry cough, headaches, muscle aches and other symptoms.

There has been some discussion about whether NSAIDS like ibuprofen might create other problems with COVID-19, so you might want to stick with Tylenol.

I would recommend that you call your doctor (or if they offer telemedicine visits, schedule a video call). Your doctor can discuss your symptoms and decide whether you should be tested for the virus.
 
I have lupus, so I've been taking ibuprofen and hydroxycloroquine for almost 8 years now. Even when I don't hurt, my rheumatologist insists that I continue taking iburprofen to maintain my not hurting. Tylenol is just at the ready when ibuprofen doesn't cut it and to not exceed my 2400 mg daily allotment. I did call the E.R. last night, talked with the nurse on duty, and thankfully, my primary physician was the attending, and he called me right back. Again, no cough, headache, or other pain, much less any congestion, so he just recommended extreme isolation for 14 days, and I am abiding.

Brazil is now on the ascent...although I'm not buying their numbers either.

This is the time that all countries should be brutally honest about what is happening because it will give us a lot more info to work with on the next phase of this or for a similar future Corona virus pandemic.

This is the first time that humanity has all the resources to actually fucking learn something at a global level.

when they have to take all sorts of things into account (good or bad) both inside and outside influences

And since when are people interested in being informed about what they REALLY should know.


Not to speak of the numbers in the making thing... People always want everything, even final tallies of ongoing pandemics, to be accurate and available on live streaming, and then they also consider themselves very clever for not buying the same sort of info that in normal conditions they should be aware that it is not worth "buying" either.

Yes it does, but hope is a more abstract sort of horizon: it only makes sense talking of it as long as you are never actually approaching it. That is why hope won't sell as long as what you demand is a factual destination, not the perpetual promise of it.
