Lincoln Motor Company jumps the gun on the eve of the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show to unveil the first production spec 2019 Lincoln Nautilus.

The front looks Volvoish. I wish they would show more of the interior as that is what the driver looks at most. Back in the day Lincoln was the car to own, now I don’t see them coming up with anything to draw me out of a BMW..

Crossovers have taken a huge bite out of sedan sales and Lincoln appears to be trying to catch up with car buyers. My concern is that we have entered the transition period from petrol-engined cars to hybrids and fully electric vehicles.

Lincoln needs to show they are ready to embrace the electric car, or at least do the "dual-power" ability of its competition.

Lincoln - back in the day of the Town Car - had a distinctive look and feel to it.

Now they just look like every other car / SUV - there is nothing to separate them from all the other higher end cars.

It's a nice enough looking vehicle, but when I saw the word Lincoln I instantaneously thought "grandpa."

Fugly vehicle.

At one time Lincoln meant something. This just looks like a mash-up of other vehicles.

Exactly! New cars and crossovers look alike to me. This new Lincoln could just as easily carry another brand, minus the grill design. Every car designer "borrows" from every other designer. Take that grill away and it looks like a Kia Sorento!

It is the shape of things that have already come. I had a Town Car, it was a distinctive vehicle.

think the market for a Lincoln is very small---I mean there are so many vehicles like this and in this price range to choose from---it needs something that no other SUV has going for it---and I don't see that this SUV has that. In the city the town car was popular for car services but now they seem to use all kinds of cars.

My father in law had a 1990’s one, it was a land yacht...

Oh JerryPic - you're gonna give me a heart attack! The Bentayga is so far above every other luxury SUV manufacturer, photos and videos will be as close as I ever come to seeing one.

The world of luxury SUV's has many unusual players, but Volvo may have the most to brag about!

This is the Volvo XC90 T8 Excellence - the most expensive Volvo in history.

should redesign it and make it look something like thisPontiac trans am type K.jpg---experimental Pontiac Trans AM K car

I don't really object to the way it looks. It's just that I don't need or want a tall station wagon.

WOW - what a beautiful color! Coordinates well with the leather and wood interior. And just like all Bentleys, the Bentayga's character changes depending on the color and trim selected.

As for the Big Boy 2018 Navigator, I prefer it in dark colors - black is my favorite.

That's a very choice for a family guy! Personally I find it much too big and dark, it looks like a funeral van.. ugly and depressing, ugh
:deadhorse:

Ooh what a difference the day makes :luv:

Did you say "funeral"? Interesting that you would say that!

Vehicle laws in China are being revised in ways that will make large vehicles like the Navigator difficult to import.
As a matter of fact, emission laws and consumption taxes have already destroyed the V-12 and V-8 markets in some countries. Other large cities around the world are looking with interest in making city cores, "petrol free zones", resulting in only electric cars allowed.
