Chris Christie is a cartoon and Mike Pence is in a permanent semi-coma. Desatanist and Dump have nothing to worry about.
 
The worrisome aspect of all of this is that Americans still don't understand what is going on in the race to select candidates.

It is now about putting up straw men who will appear to be running, but really aren't...to create the kingmakers and the second tier sycophants who will carry the train of the elect. Who will bring their voters to the polls in exchange for some plum position.

Some of them are quite literally gambling at the moment that if they promise Trump a pardon, he will support them if he withdraws.

The GQP has no one of interest to offer now except Trump.

Mike Pence failed his master and allowed the electoral votes to be confirmed. He is now maligned by a majority of Republicans who see him as a traitor. Asa Hutchinson will be throwing his hat in the ring and running, but his appeal is currently limited. For now, the only candidate that Trump should be worried about is DeSantis.

Who is trailing toad by double digits. The only measure that matters for the 'pubs is the horde. None of the likely candidates on the far right are going to have much luck with anyone else, so it's basically a circular firing squad, no one who doesn't present as a 'phobic, misogynist (even you Nimrata), bigoted, jingoist, fascist troll has no chance at a right-wing nomination, and none of that is going to fly in the national election.
 
Trump will likely be the republican nominee, unless the ongoing lawsuits against him bear fruit, and make him risky and unappealing as a candidate. So far that has not proven true, and his followers are willing to support him even if he raped their wives and children. The Republicans have long reached a new low of depraved and disgusting.

George Will is a smug antediluvian who has wasted his voice of 'reason' and somehow failed to see what his party actually had become. Thinking I guess that the urbane, educated and smooth establishment 'compassionate' conservatives somehow would never lose control of government.

HIs voice isn't even barely a whisper any more in American politics. And his distaste for the trash candidates like Trump and DeSantis is destroying his perspective.

It is very likely that one or the other of these two will win the nomination because the GQP, with no one else to put forward to withstand the battering from TrumpCo., will grasp at them as the last hope to regain the White House.
