Did you guys hear this?

The Taliban shot down a helicopter carrying 22 Navy SEALs from SEAL Team Six (the same guys who killed Osama Bin Laden) in Afghanistan today. 31 people died in total. This was clearly done by the Taliban to avenge Bin Laden's death. No doubt they are celebrating right now.

It is the biggest single deadliest incident since the war on Afghanistan began in 2001.

This is just so sad :(

My thoughts & prayers are with their families, and all of our military men in harms way.......

War is hell.

Make sure you call Bush and thank him for his efforts that made these deaths possible.

This is not about Bush. Obama has been the president for the past 2.5 years -- so if you want to blame a president for this, you would have to blame Obama.

This is about our brave men in uniform. If you're not willing to stand behind them, then stand in front of them.

Obama is the one under watch... sink or swim with him. he your man now bar none.

oh yeah.. Obama invaded Afghanistan

LOL

You guys are more interested in Obama looking bad than you are the deaths of the soldiers

How republican

sad and pathetic

so you guys are saying that we should NOT have gone after Bin Laden?

are you saying that Obama started the war?

are you saying Petraeus was a bad general?

are you mourning their loss? In a political forum?

it smells bad and note how few people are taking you seriously.

You second. ..|

I served my country.

And from what I've read if you dislike that nasty little Republican Suburb that you live in, then get the fuck out and ENLIST!

I don't know if you've heard this or not but Obama made it possible for Queers to serve in the military now! *|*

Unlike under Bush were 'the single most important thing is to find and fight terrorists, where they might be,' just right after we get through kicking the fags out of the military.

Wow!

You are a piece of work JayQueer! :gogirl:

First time since I've been a member of JUB that I've EVER seen a Republican/Conservative even give a shit about about the 6,000+ Americans to come back in body bags since Bush43 Declared MISSION ACCOMPLISHED on the Deck of the United States Aircraft Carrier Abraham Lincoln, anchored just off of the California Coast, not far from San Diego.

So yeah, I'll support you like a brother if you take down your American Flag that flies year round, properly fold it up, put it into your book bag and head off to your nearest recruiting station, and ENLIST!

You want to be a Republican Conservative, then put your LIFE where your mouth is.

Who knows, you might lose some weight, find yourself along with your self worth, and be the pride of your family, and your subdivision.

It's sick. Their utter masturbatory glee over bad news is just sick. The haiku harpies overlook the tragedy of a stillborn economy, 2 useless wars drawing to an end after a decade of malfeasance, and would welcome another attack, and can only think of how it will damage Obama, without the smallest care of the thousands or millions of Americans it will adversely affect.

JayQueer you want to honor those Navy Seals?

Don't stand behind some ideology, or encourage someone to stand in front of them. [-X

Back your bags and go and stand WITH THEM, where the war is at.

Otherwise you need to STFU about patriotism, and what it means to be an American.

Outside of your little culdesac you don't have the first fucking clue.

Respectfully.

JQ confused the war dead with his Catch-22 political hack job.

it's 38 dead! Not 22. Thirty one American troops along with seven Afghan troops.. Sad day for the families involved.

It was YOU who brought politics into this thread with your Bush comment.

This is absolutely terrible news. I want our men and women to come home already.

from the president...

"My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and loved ones of the Americans who were lost earlier today in Afghanistan," Obama said. "We also mourn the Afghans who died alongside our troops in pursuit of a more peaceful and hopeful future for their country."

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.co...yers-with-families-of-lost-troops/?hpt=po_bn2

and from the commander of the joint cheif of staff as to who is responsible....

"Information is still coming in about this incident. I think it's important that we allow investigators to do their work before jumping to too many conclusions," said Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
"It's also important that we respect the process of notifying family members, no matter how long that takes. We ought to remember that the troops we lose in this war aren't just statistics or numbers on a wall. They were parents and siblings, and someone's child. We need to make sure we do all we can to comfort and support the families whose lives are now forever changed."

so wheres the association to Obama killing Osama?

where is that?

oh please.

get real.

We learn each others shit really quickly here. Don't even try it.

And if Clinton had actually killed Bin Laden when he had the chance, 9/11 wouldn't have happened and Bush wouldn't have invaded Afghanistan. :p

So it's actually Bill you should be thanking.

so now bush is not responsible for 9-11 OR the afghan war in your eyes. What a world you live in.

Do they give you passes out on weekends and do nice arts and crafts during the day?

QFT!

And what's even more sad and pathetic, like our economy these are just more "political points" that the right will try to ratchet up and blame Obama for, because in their "alternate" universe, the Republicans are completely blameless, and should be held entirely unaccountable once a President from a different party takes office.

The Navy Seals who died today are AMERICANS, along with our allies.

They all have families, and loved ones, and people who counted on them being in their lives so that they could realize their dreams and have a future together.

Instead it's become the most grotesque example of political extremes that Republicans and the "unhinged right" will go to in a cynical attempt to deflect blame from their own failed policies.

Well, you wanted to play the blame game. And no, Bush isn't responsible for 9/11. I had no idea you were a Truther.

BTW, Obama sent 30,000 additional troops to Afghanistan. What if these SEALs were amongst those?

Well, you wanted to play the blame game.

How about we play the responsibility game?

There's a difference between blaming someone, and holding them accountable.

The difference is that's what accounts for leadership in our country today.

Nobody wants to own anything if it might reflect badly upon themselves, and their decisions regardless of party or position.

Meanwhile our Military know and recognize the difference, and continue to serve even though "civilian contractors" and "mercenaries" make 3x the pay or more of our volunteer armed service members.

laikaNYC, would you like to go there?

Either literally or figuratively, I'll give you the choice. ;)

OMG.......TexPatriot, you served in the military? Your hotness factor just went up 10000 X! I think I told you I so really want your cock buried deep inside me :sex: ........I'm serious about that!! :) ..........lol

But I digress.........

I don't think that I'm strong enough to serve in the U.S. military. So, as a patriotic citizen, the next best thing I can do is to support our troops. I make donations to non-partisan organizations such as the "Wounded Warrior Project", and I'm a volunteer for "Soldiers Angels" a non-profit organization that sends care packages to troops deployed overseas. I currently send care packages & letters to a soldier stationed in Afghanistan.
