I always forget that it's summer down there. Haha, sorry about that.

Seeing England is like a life's dream of mine. I have a friend who's moving there in about a week and I'm just jealous what she'll be seeing! Australia is a place I'm hoping to visit in the next 6 years.

Good time to come to England, busy year. Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics. And I have spare tickets for the latter. Don't get too burnt my friend.

Obviously there are a lot of guys from the UK on here who can provide more details, but I lived in London for a summer in grad school and had a great time!

If you're going to be there for a month, you should definitely plan on taking the Eurostar to Paris or Brussels and spend some time hopping around continental Europe. (Not that the U.K. and Ireland aren't worthy of a month of their own--don't e-mail me, Brits!)

But wow, that's quite an airplane ride for your first overseas journey. Although I guess, with a few exceptions in southeast Asia, Australia is a long airplane ride away from just about everywhere!

June is when the main Diamond Jubilee celebrations take place in the UK. The first weekend is a four day holiday.
