I am incredibly excited for Jack Bauer's return! :gogirl:

It's a four hour premier, with two hours tonight and two hours tomorrow.

Can't wait! This has to be one of the best shows on television.

Not to be contrary, but I don't see what all the fuss is about. I have tried to watch but just can't get into the show

I will be watching the season premire of "Rome" on HBO.

Love Jack! LOVE Chloe! :)
Chloe's my favourite character. I loved when they had her shooting a gun in one episode.

It's harder to watch if you haven't been following the show from season one, and you'll be thrown off if you even miss a single week.

24 is the only show on tv where I'll actually not schedule anything when it's on. Tonight I plan on eating early, turning off the phone and turning up the volume to enjoy every second.

Some people have already seen the first episode on the internet (don't ask me where!).

Dont you think the show has become a bit of a parody of itself?

The 1st 2 seasons were brilliant, but seasons 3 and 4 were terrible. The twists dont even make sense half the time, and there's too much of a sense for me that they just make it up as they go along. Too many stories happen in too short a time for it to ever settle down and be genuinely shocking. You just know that there's another villain behind the main villain. Season 4 was a classic example of this.

Granted, season 5 was a return to better form, but its still way off its A-game.

I find the correlation between the show getting dumber and also getting more popular disturbing.

Oh No!!!!

"America has been victimized again," reports a TV newscaster. "Last night's terrorist attack in San Antonio is now the latest in this series of bombings that began 11 weeks ago in 10 different cities. Over 900 people have been killed thus far."

I can't wait!!! :D

The series does tend to repeat itself in order to make the plot twists possible. There's always a mole, always a double agent etc, but it keeps you guessing every time.

I'm hoping they really shake it up and do things differently this season.

Hard to believe we are starting season 6 already!

I love new season guest star Alexander Siddig from his " Deep Space Nine" days....he seems to be a sympathetic character breaking from a violent past,so it will be interesting to see how he develops and if he can survive the next '24".

OOH! Awesome first 2 hours!!

But damn if those torture scenes weren't brutal!

The season premiere had me on the edge of my seat and I know I'm going to be absolutely twitchy until tomorrow's two hours. It was awesome!!! Music was great, casting was perfect. I too like Alexander Siddig in his role. I had to watch the scenes for tomorrow's episode frame by frame. The facial reaction from Karen (the head of Homeland Security) and then Jack before it cut away has me afraid for what tomorrow brings. And if the teasers are true, you HAVE to watch the fourth hour tomorrow for an absolute shocker. I'm now counting down the hours until 8pm tomorrow!

Man that was great, can't wait till tomorrow.

BTW does anyone know when 24 gets it's regular spot will it be on against heroes, if so that just sucks my 2 favorite shows on at the same time.

Awesome premeir! The torture scenese weren't that bad at all, they were kinda tame actually. Hostel was worse. Anyways, can't wait for tommorow, anyone wanna give me a spoiler as to what the "it will change everything" even is?? :) Are they gonna nuke LA?

And alexander siddig as a former terrorist!? I dunno, it's hard for me to get used to him as anyone other than Dr. Bashir on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine!

The premiere wasn't as good as last seasons first two hours but it was defnitely an excellent start to what I'm sure will be another great season.

Yes, glo-unit, 24 and Heroes will both air at the same time on their respective networks. I know because I am in the same dilemma as they are my two favorite shows as well. Fortunately I live in a home with two Tivos that are capable of each dual recording shows, so I will be fine. I hope you have a way to watch both as well.

I didn't even recognize him.

I'm a little disappointed that they didn't make a story about Jack escaping from the Chinese. That could have been 24 hours of international intrigue and given us a new plot line. But whatever. I still love the melodrama and the twists coming our way.

BTW, isn't Keifer looking buff this season? ..|

I don't know if Fox will be posting the episode on line, but unless NBC has changed it up they do post that night's episode on their website. So there is some hope for those of us without Tivo or VCRs. ;)

You think after 5 seasons, or terrorist attacks that everyone would always assume that Jack Bauer is right, no matter what. Always trust Jack Bauer...saved your asses way too many times.
