This guy cheated his way into Harvard law school by stating he had a perfect score on his SAT's, attended a prestigious prep school, as well as "transferring from MIT", was "fluent in Old English and Old Persian" and even managed to land a $45,000 scholarship. Do admissions directors double checking applications anymore?

Although, he is cute. Maybe he got by because of his looks, look at those big blue eyes, who can say no to him?

Anyway, I also read that he was expelled from a previous college for… wait for it… academic dishonesty. Gee, really?

And yes, he is cute, but a freekin' retard. So he lied. Big whoop. Anybody can lie, and anybody with the patience to sit through an Adobe tutorial video can use Photoshop to make a fake ID or letterhead.

If he were really smart he’d have the grades and the ability to go to Harvard on his own merits, not by cheating his way in. What a tool.

He's most likely a sociopath. I'd say someone from an affluent neighbourhood but from a family of modest means - he never fit in. It's a shame, really, when one can't be comfortable in his own skin.

Ugh, he could just enjoy a Harvard education. Mom calls it "that greed factor."

It's amazing the talent that scammers actually have. Can't that be used towards something more productive. I once worked with a guy who was a retired navy officer and as such had rights to fly free and stay for free on military bases. It was all a hoax. He got arrested on one of his junkets, the one that he invited me to join him. Thank god I didn't go.

That whole story pissed me off immensely. If I were adjudicating his case, I'd order him to pay back the scholarship, fine him beyond his means, lock him in jail and order his picture published in every major newspaper in the country and sent to every academic institution!!

And why is a fraudster being exposed on a gossip website? Thousands of people try to fake their achievements (and get caught eventually). Why fixate on a single poster boy?

paws, Gawker is a snarky gossip site, they'll go after almost anyone. Plus, he doesn't look like the type who would do this kind of thing and his mug shot is strangely cute so he gets extra coverage there.

Here's an even bigger question I have, what were his marks like?
How well was he working on what he was taking?
Was he actually "living" as a student and going? Or did he take the money and run?

I don't know how he was able to fake this either. He dormed at Harvard for more than a year and plagiarized all of his English papers (no surprise there). Wouldn't the professors catch this when they're grading them? Many professors make you submit it electronically so they can catch plagiarism.

I'm sure some of his classmates knew something was up because he didn't seem to fit in. He did make a couple of friends but didn't talk with many people possibly to prevent being caught in his lies. He must have taken notes from GW Bush's time at Yale.

I think he's seen one too many movies like Catch Me if You Can and probably has Narcissistic Personality Disorder at least. He needs help.

Maybe when the "Talented Mr Wheeler" get's out of jail he can make a remake of American Physco or Fatal Attraction. David DeCoteau could direct it and let's just say a knife wouldn't be his weapon of choice.

Though he wasn't looking as good at his hearing yesterday; a bit disheveled. Lots of commenter on Gawker seem to think he's bi... alright, I need to find a BF already.

I guess it's because alot of people put Harvard on a pedestal and Harvard got pwned by a con artist lol. Theyre obviously not a smart as they think they are.
