Took me awhile to find it, but I did.
I listened to the recent (
October 25, 2011) interview that he gave on
The Diane Rehm Show which is broadcast on NPR where Pat Buchanan talks about points that he made while promoting his new book Suicide of a Superpower: will America survive to 2025.
You can click the link above to either listen to, or read the transcript of that interview.
I recommend it.
Where not even a full minute into the interview, and Pat Buchanan makes this statement:
And I'm thinking to myself as I'm hearing these words come out of his mouth:
Oh it get's better!
If I didn't know the guy, I'd think to myself, "
that sounds reasonable enough."
But he continues further on in the interview:
There's more, but Pat Buchanan
clearly hasn't changed his views on things, he's just seems to either be looking for someone or something to blame things on without taking any responsibility for his own role in any of it.
Maybe that's what some people find appealing about him.
It's clearly what many don't.
He's certainly not a friend of the LGBT Community, and he's clearly advocating more for a Theocracy, wrapped in the guise of a Democracy IMO.
To the low information voter Pat Buchanan makes a lot of sense to people.
If I didn't know better, he'd make sense to me too.
I'm just curious as to why he's on MSNBC and not Fox News.
Pat Buchanan v. Al Sharpton?
They're both self-serving demagogues in my opinion, and they're no better than the same self serving "GOP Candidate" former and wannabes on FOX NEWS.
The all seem to be preaching "unity" over "diversity" but they all turn out to be polarizing and divisive in their message.
