28 Weeks Later

Okay. 1 question to those that have seen it. ***Spoiler***, so don't be highlighting below if you haven't seen it.

From here:
Anyway, after the military has been given the go to shoot everything, and everyone meets up in that storage place, they pick up that dude in the blue shirt (who eventually dies in the helecopter vs zombies scene) and some older lady. Does *anyone* know what the heck happened to the lady? She kinda just disappears. Everyone I went with had no idea and was wondering the same thing. To here.

I got the 2 disc special edition DVD of 28 Days Later for £7.98 is Asda today. Haven't watched it yet but it comes with the first chapter of a graphic novel called 28 Days Later: The Aftermath which starts before the first film and leads into the sequel. It's quite good but I'm not sure when the full novel is out.

Sorry to say it but you've got a weird mother!
If weird is an open mother who excepted me being gay at 15 and welcomed all my boyfriends with open arms and made sure i was always okay, than I guess i have a weird mother. So we watched horror flicks? big deal. We also watched All my children.

**SPOILER BELOW**

the old lady was shot by the military when they first attemted to escape the building.

I am a sick fuck cause I like scenes like the helicopter scene! My mother raised me on horror flicks. My dad use to get up and leave the room cause we watched such crazy shit! So they don't bother me at all. oddly enough unsolved mysteries use to fuck me up as a kid! Even now hearing that music gives me chills!

My parents were always taking us to the triple feature vampire movies at the drive-in when we were young(or any horror flicks that were playing). We also went to see the original Night of The Living Dead. Granted it did fuck with me and they wondered why I had nightmares as a kid. LOL! We laugh about it now. And our good times of me and my two brothers getting into our pajamas, putting our sleeping bags into the back of the station wagon, and getting KFC(when they had original extra crispy and not this spicy crap) far outwayed the negative affects of the scary movies(or who knows, maybe it was a contributing factor in my addictive behaviors, lol)

I take it America isn't big on censorship if parents can take their kids to see horror films. In the UK you have to be over 18 to see 28 Weeks Later and kids are definately not allowed. Even when it was the X certificate (all horror films) you still had to be 18 to see them.

What's that you say?

Why that's sarcasm and my joke, flying above your heads :-)

#-o Oh wow, I usually pick up on stuff like that. I don't know if i'm just out of it or it's because I'm constantly tired because of the mono lol

Great movie! I loved the girl who played the daughter ( I forgot her name).

SPOILER (NOT REALLY, BUT I DON'T WANT TO RISK IT) LOL...........................

I loved the final shot where the zombies are running towards the Eiffel Tower. Great great shot!

plan to see this movie very soon, hopefully this weekend if all goes right.

Imogen Poots. The boy who played her brother is Mackintosh Muggleton. 2 of the coolest names, ever :)

LOL! My friend & I actually stayed after the movie was over and read some of the names on the credits. Oh wow there was someone in the movie whose real name was Beans! Yeah, crazy names......

I thought this was an amazing movie, totally awesom, however I still like the first one better. The ending of this one was killer though, loved it.

This one left me almost as tense as the first one did, which is saying quite a bit considering I've never gripped the theater arm-rests as much as I did in the first one. My buddy made fun of me during this one when he looked over and I was crushing my popcorn bucket without realizing it.

I only liked half of the ending. The final shot was indeed amazing, but I didn't care for not knowing definitively what happened in the other part (intentionally staying vague). I needed at least 10 minutes more movie. :)

And while I had a big problem with how one of the main characters was allowed to just have access to "something" that would have been incredibly well-guarded in the real world, the scene that followed because of that access was one of the most gruesome and heartbreaking scenes I've ever seen in a horror movie. Ten times more disturbing than most of the gore-porn torture films that try to shock you these days. It had heart, which made it all the more painful to watch.

That scene will stay with me long after the rest of the movie has faded, and that alone made it worth seeing.

Also, the kid in the opening scene is called Beans Balawi

What the fuck are parents thinking these days? (Although these 3 names are rather cool).

I thought it was a great film, although the movie pedant in me (which I can't supress) spotted a couple of plot flaws.

when the kids escaped from the safe zone, no way would the military have allowed them to get away so easily, they would either have just shot them or quickly picked them up. Also, when the mother is in the lab why the hell were there no soldiers guarding her? She was carrying both the Rage and the antidote after all, probably worth keeping an eye on that one.
