Yeah, the author's either a moron or he's trying to sensationalize things a bit more than they already are.. The kid was buried in 1921 and yet they're unsure about whether these boys severed the head from the body? More likely all the boys could find would be the skull.


And does anyone really think skulls haven't been used for dope smoking before? I bet it's more common than most folks realize.

Not necessarily- if a body was buried in clay soils a suprising amount of flesh can stay on the body for very long periods. Still, it seems to me like a good advert for how much drugs fuck you up! :eek:

I saw that on the TV news tonight. I still don't understand how one can smoke weed from a skull.

The kids were home schooled. In my part of the country, that usually means "Christian education."

The story does say that the cops are unsure if the skull was actually used for anything.
 
Gross.... and morbid.

Why would anyone want to do that? I'm all for smoking weed every once in a great while, but why and HOW out of a person's head?

1. Must be fun for all the bacterias to invade the teenager's bodies.

2. That's why you burn dead bodies to ashes. Burying is overrated and takes away too much space.
 
Theory: The gents were exploring the possibility that such a "ritual" would put them in contact with the spirit/thoughts of the deceased.

Why else go to all that trouble?
 
Since when are 17 year olds considered 'men'? They only want to prosecute them to the full extent of the law.....
