I like Frank Miller's work, the trailer is visually stunning, and I've loved Tom Wisdom since Mile High, so, yeah, I'm there.

I'll definitely see it. BUT, I think I detected a mistake in the promo's. There was something about the 300 protecting democracy. Eh, the Spartans didn't like democracy. The Athenians did (sort of).

Just watched it a few hours ago. Man, those shirtless hunks drove me crazy. I wanted to see Rodrigo Santoro with as little clothings as possible, which I did - but he was the bad guy. Sigh...

Seriously, it really touched the issue that gay guys don't support wars. Too many gorgeous die. Such a pity.

Love the graphic. Wish that it would be a little bit more homoerotic.

As well as boys ... according to the sneering Spartans in the movie, said whilst they strip down to speedos for battle. Heheh.

Supposedly, this is the most homophobic homoerotic movie ever made. I can't wait.

It's a comic book (Frank Miller) adaptation of history, which rocks (you can get the graphic novel at stores). The actors are all real, the backgrounds are 100% green screen (like Sin City).

It's actually blue screen.


Wow its really here, this movie is going to be soo huge.

I'll be second in line tomorrow. My friend says he will be first LOL.

I'll be back with my review later.

More lesbian than homo. Really. I was happy watching the movie, but I did hope for male nudity (even a little), as depicted in the comic. Hmmm... Only one shot. Can't be a spoiler here, can I?

The fiction over reality bias has been sort of pointed out by Frank Miller himself. That the Spartans are wearing next to nothing, for example, is probably the most obvious clue that reality is sort of not that important.

However...It is based on a real event, and a reasonably famous one. And what do you mean "Iranians aren't like that"? Iran wasn't around at that time, so ow could you have had Iranians?

The Persians are the cultural "parents" of the Iranians, just as the ancient Greeks are of the modern Greeks. They are not the same, though a few thousand years of wars, invasions and intermixing have seen to that. But the Greeks and the Persians fought each other for thousands of years, and its true.

And if the film ignored the fact that the most elite army of the Spartans was comprised of gay couples, then what can I say. Hollywood does it again!!!

OMG I just got back from this movie....

The best way to descibe it is this......

An orgasmic ballet of chaos and beauty with intricacies woven in that only Frank Miller could have given birth to.....
