Sorry for any errors, im on my ipod! So I know what it is like to have a best friend that is practically your twin. Do everything together and tell each other everything. Usually when they start out dating new people, I feel the 3rd wheel. That is to be expected and I just give them space! You would think it would be the same for my own relationship.

My boy has a twin and they are inseparable. Do everything together and whatnot. However, I feel like I'm dating the both of them. Neither of us has a car, so she would
drive him up and we'd all party. I really appreciated it since she really didn't have to. The thing is there are other ways for him to see me...inexpensive ways. I ccome to see him without my best friend. And it always just those two, and three's a crowd. It isn't that I don't like her. She's really cool and we get along great! But when they're together they just do the "remember when....." and do all their little inside things. Then he'll ask why I'm so quite...but it is because I can't relate to their stories that I wasn't there for! Then they'll walk together and I'm like 2ft behind them, thus making me feel like the 3rd wheel. Even worse is he that he doesn't act like a boyfriend in front of her. He might hold my hand, but he won't treat me like a boyfriend and a ts different around her. To be honest, I feel like he's her bitch. She says jump and he's like how high!

It is just frustrating at times. I don't know what to say because I don't want to come between their friendship. I try not to get mad at him and I don't want to be. It does put me in a mood though and I look bitter. I don't want her to feel like the 3rd wheel, but I would expect that to be the way.

OK I can't tell, is she his twin sister or is that just a metaphor?

Have you told him you want some alone time?

Tell him. If he can't see things your way, then maybe it's time you drop him and move on to somebody else, because this little problem is only going to get worse with time.

It's a metaphor. I had to read it twice too.

Have you told him how you feel about this MMMonsterBoy?

No I haven't told him yet. I wanna say it without sounding like I don't want to hang with her. It isn't so much her because she does try and give us moments; he just (when around her) is kinda different

Then plan something.

"...Sugar, lets go out, I have something special planned for just the two of us..."

You're going to have to risk it and tell him. By not telling him you are implying it's ok. It could end your relationship, but, really, this is not ok everytime you see him.

MMMonsterBoy: I definitely think you need to say something. When the relationship is new, I'm a big fan of the "group" date or the "join me and my friend/s when we go out" so long as that is in between some alone time.

TX-Beau presented a great way to create that time. Because if you can't create that time NOW, when you're supposed to be in the "getting to know you well" stage, the relationship is destined to be third-wheel-awkward until you finally break up with your girlfriend and her best guy friend.

Similarly, I was thinking if you aren't a priority now, it's likely you'll be even less of one as time goes on.
