Wow it looks like you guys had a great time. I've met a group from another website when I lived in the Northeast. We met in NYC for a light dinner. I also met up with a few guys here in south Florida.

As Martin6 quipped, it was an (unintentional) straight-acting trip. We didn't really gay it up at all.

It would be like meeting any other online friend. In fact, we met a Facebook friend of -Noiro's, and I didn't realize he was gay until he mentioned his partner.

We weren't hiding anything, but we just didn't visit an particularly gay places (other than, well, Vegas itself).

One of the most frustrating things about these meets is the assumption that it's a big orgy hook-up thing. (I am as guilty of assuming this as anyone but that was more out of fear of being in the way!)

Is it not at all possible that people enjoy meeting each other without sex being involved?

I've been to 2 meets now. Yes, sex happens, but it isn't the goal or planned activity for the weekend. It is a product of being together, having fun and having JUB in common.

It is quite sad that so many JUBbers are going to be scared away from meets in the future for the simple assumption that 1) if they say they are going and then do something else they'll be banished and 2) they think they have to service other JUB members in order to go.

I think I owe the guys at this meet an apology.

I saw the attacks on Epic and kind of attacked back to the group. I don't know Epic, never talked to him, but I thought the name calling was bullshit and it was.

BUT, I didn't get all my facts straight before I spouted off at the mouth either, and that's wrong too.

For the guys who didn't make any personal attacks, I'm sorry if I was a dick. I know my opinion isn't that important to you anyway, but I do what I think is right regardless. And what's right when you talk shit without facts, is to apologize and admit you fucked up.

And that's the end of that chapter for me.
