We are celebrating our 40th anniversary this week. We are both so happy and excited to reach this milestone. It has been the best 40 years of my life and I am happy to say that my husband feels the same way. He has been such a fantastic partner. We are going to a fancy restaurant tonight with our favorite straight couple. Feeling blessed. Wishing everyone love and happiness.

Congratulations!
Are you going out for a Ruby Murray?

Funny, you don't look old enough to have been married for 40 years ...

Happy Anniversary!!

Speaking of love and happiness, we expect updates on Hannah at least once a week, preferably more.

Thank you all for the congratulations and well wishes. Congratulations to you too "rareboy". Other than a fantastic fancy dinner with friends, we stayed home and had lots of fun. We did some projects and my dear husband did a lot of cooking and baking, which he loves. We did our spring cleaning which was much needed. We had lots of sex too.

We also had an ER adventure. I had been having some pain on my right calf for a few days but because of my chronic pain situation that I have been dealing with for over a year, did not think much of it. On Sunday we were having some appetizers with our martinis when I realized that my right foot was swollen, it was big. My husband is a trained paramedic. He very seriously told me that we had to go to the ER asap. I did not want to go but he told me that it had all the signs of a blood clot and it could be deadly. We put the martinis away, put the dinner on hold and went to the hospital, which is only five minutes from our house.

It took two hours in the waiting area before I was taken to a room. The nurse's assistant that took us to the room was gay porn cute. We spent the next eight hours there. They did all sorts of tests, blood, x-ray, and ultrasound. They gave me some pain medication. We were there until about 4:30 am, when they finally told us that it was not a blood clot but they could not tell us why my foot was swollen or explain the pain. We were just happy that it was not serious. The doctor prescribed compression socks to wear daily. They are almost impossible to put on.

We got home around 5 am took the martinis out of the freezer and continued the party until around 7 am. Luckily my husband had Monday off so we had one more day of fun and debauchery. We had a great time. Thank you all once more. Looking forward to another forty years. Cheers.

Thank goodness it wasn't a blood clot. Drink more vodka.

As a DVT survivor, I am glad it wasn't more serious and the martinis continued.

The trick with compression stockings is to bunch them all up at the toe and then drag them up. It is easier than it seems. I have to wear them when I fly.

And thank you as well for the good wishes.

How wonderful to still be having lots of sex with a partner you've been with for 40 years!
