^ China too, some part of that country are barbaric.

You're correct not to penalize the whole for the part...which is what is so irritating about #38.

I want to see the viceroys palace

^^Lord Canning was the first viceroy, and wasn't much loved by Indians themselves. He lived here, near Kolkata. His wife, however, was much loved and to this day you will find Ladikenis, ('Lady Cannings') in Bengali sweet shops.

^
I like the 1920s viceroy's house.

looks like Taj Mahal to me. :p A replica?

A faint echo perhaps. It was built by a sensible man who knew about modern-day practicalities as much about the Moghuls.

Like the Taj Mahal is basically two rooms and a corridor isn't it?

Do you have sewerage farms where you live Karen?

We pump ours out into the ocean after million-dollar disinfectants.

I'm old school. You gotta poop? Grab the poop-hole digging shovel and dig yourself a hole in the backyard. No need for all these fancy sewage systems and booboo plants.

Please thank your representative for their part in contaminating sea life and eradicating the starfish.

The government buildings are handsome, aren't they?

Josie, here's a lovely old sultanate spot that has many of the elements of the Taj, but is built in the red and ochre tones of Pat's modern building. Humayun's tomb.

Ya, handsome.
But if that building not encrusted with gold and precious gems then that building is nothing better than a cheap imitation.

But since Humayun's Tomb predates the Taj, we will instead say that the Taj pays opulent tribute to its elder. The Taj is a remix. :)

That means.."INDONESIAN" way is better \:/

What's that?

Speaking of bushes. The wonderful thing about the Taj Mahal and the Viceroys Palcace is that they both have fabulous gardens with which to view the building. I speak to heritage experts and they say The curtilage is vital!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curtilage

The prickly lawns in the tropics defy enjoyment. Did they first grow in India via the English? What stubborn and mean-spirited grass it is, like sitting on diminutive bamboo.

In any case, I don't think the gardens there are especially fabulous, but yes, certainly amenable to gazing.

I say that to the members of the nude bushwalking group here. Most plants here are very prickly.

I know the English complained about the "sour" grasses here when they tried to breed horses in the 1830s.
