4loko. anybody ever drank this?

wanted to drink it BUT i heard that they banned it though because some folks were dropping dead off of it. i know someone reading this would be like "why drink something that has other people dropping dead?". just wanted to try it out once.

anybody drank it though? what was your reaction to it?
 
Well, except for the dropping dead part, I thought it was pretty good.
 
its ok. nothing special. I wouldnt buy it again, not because people were dying from it, but because it just wasnt all that great. Theres way too many better drinks out there. And yes, I think there is a grape.

so the taste wasn't all that good? it sounds like it tastes good. not a beer or alcohol taste fan at all. it tastes nasty. any alcohol beverage that has a good taste to it is my drink.
 
have you ever tried Mikes Hard Lemonade? or Smirnoff Ice? its kinda like those. Not really any alcohol taste, just sweet.. and for me, thats not really what I want in a drink. I would rather have beer or vodka.

would you say that it tastes like jack daniels though? never had any of the other two drinks you mentioned so i wouldn't know.

vodka and beer are nasty as hell. they taste like total shit.
 
It's flavored beer that's strong enough to get you a good buzz if you down the whole can, and drunk if you want more than one.

It kills idiots like most drinking kills idiots. 4loko has a stigma on it because people fear that it being flavored and colorful makes it more marketable to underage drinkers, but other than that, I don't see the big deal.

i heard of people dropping dead from drinking one can though. the drink is supposed to have some high amount of alcohol as well as caffeine in it. i'm just scared that i might be one of those guys that catch a heart attack drinking that drink. i'm all for a good time as long as it doesn't hurt or kill me.
 
Refuji, it sounds like you like the idea of having fun drinking, but don't really care for alcohol.

There are lots of sweet mixed drinks made with cognac, brandy or liqueurs but they can pack quite a wallop if you are not used to booze.

Are you thinking about New Years Eve and what you could drink?
 
I tried to drink a can thinking it was just an energy drink but I couldn't finish it since I was so tipsy already lol. It took me about 2 days to finish it and I was surprised at how fast I got tipsy. It wasn't until later on that I heard how fast it gets you drunk and how college kids were getting alcohol poisoning. It's really no big deal though as long as you don't try drinking more than a can.

yeah, anyway to get drunk before or sneak a drink into the club because they're going to overprice it like nobody's business.

no, it doesnt taste like Jack Daniels, at least not the one i had. There are many different flavors. If you drink vodka with 7up and add cherry juice, thats what mine kinda tasted like.

Uppers (caffeine, taurine, guarana) and downers (alcohol).

Not usually a good idea together. Just ask River Phoenix.
 
It gave me a headache probably from the caffeine. And, no, it doesn't taste like Jack Daniels. Jack Daniels is miles ahead on the taste scale. I just think 4 loko is nasty shit :p
