Hi Tom. I am in a similar situation with my Mum, she is 74 and my father is 75. My Mum had a stroke September 2007 and remains paralysed on her left side. I was considering selling my home and moving in with my parents but that plan is on hold. I am not a virgin but I have not had sex in years, so maybe I could be considered a "born again" virgin. Yes I have a warped sense of humour but you need to be able to laugh at yourself before you can laugh at others. I hope you are sincere with your post because I hate liars. Be well Tom.

Hey Tom, another guy here who can sympathize. I lived with my Mom my entire life, until she passed away early this year. I am by no means a virgin - I went the other way, turning to anonymous sex for many years as an outlet for my frustrations. I have been seeing a great guy for about a year now - hoping that it lasts. I'm in my 40's now and realizing that I have a lot of life yet to live.

You are NOT old, so let this place be a start for you - get out and start living.
I don't mean you have to come OUT, that would be in your own time and place - but at least step outside, meet some new people and you'll realize there are some good ones out there.

Hey Tom, Im 26 and I have the same fear of catching HIV or some other disease and its the reason why im still a virgin also. So I can somewhat understand some of what you are going through. Hopefully everything turns out great for you.

i am not a virgin, but i am wholeheartedly monogamous and faithful to my partner....of course i haven't had a partner in several years....he died....so i've been solo....

i don't trick around because i don't want to catch any std, but also because i am not comfortable with casual sex.....being monogamous and faithful -- FOR ME -- makes for more meaningful sex.....if an orgasm is all i seek, i can do a wonderful job of that myself...

i will say that as a much younger guy i had a few trysts with some close friends, but they were almost all straight and we were just satisfying our mutual curiosity....i am still very close friends with many of them

do not feel odd about the path your life has taken....i have often thought that my reluctance for casual sex is what has kept me alive....i am old enough to have experienced a time when free love was relatively much safer than it is now....had i been comfortable with casual sex in my 20s and 30s....i could easily have caught HIV....when it was untreatable...
