I'm only watching for the performances, the people who DESERVE to win don't even get nominated anymore.

I know we've hit rock bottom in the industry when Lil Wayne garners multiple nominations just for finally making an album that doesn't suck (not to mention unapologetically biting off other people's style)

I'm not going to take the Grammys seriously until Nikka Costa has one on her shelf.

That's because she chose some TERRIBLE records to put on her album. She's a very gifted vocalist but, like most jazz singers, she tones her styling down for the pop audience. Her reading of "'Round Midnight" (posted on youtube) is brilliant, but her album doesn't really showcase her ability.

I'm rooting for Coldplay for Album of the year. Their album was amazing, IMO. I hope they all take record of the year.

Who else was nominated for Best New Artist? Between Adele, Jazmine and JBs, I'll root for Jazmine unless Duffy was nominated because 'Mercy' is amazing.

The Grammys are a joke and have been for the last decade or so. I think I'll sit this one out, just like I usually do. Having said that, I hope George Strait finally gets his due. I don't give a fig about any of the other nominees.

I'm just hoping and praying that:
1-Tasia finally walks away with one! Lord knows she deserved some last year for 'When I See U' and 'Put You Up On Game'.
2-Leona walks away with at least one!
3-Lil Wayne wins nothing! That big waste or airtime has been working my nerve since him and that gang of talentless fools released 'Back That Azz Up'.

I'm sure it will, and especially if she does her new ballad-type song. Her voice is okay if you do extremely up-beat catchy songs that don't need a good voice. IMO, she wouldn't be nearly where she is if her "Thinking Of You" was her first single.
I also hope Leona Lewis gets at least one. Not a fan of how Coldplay is straddling categories, being nominated for Rock vocal and Pop vocal, Eagles as well.

I'm going for Lady Antebellum for Best New Artist....I"m telling ya....they had a solid debut album, debut at the top of the country charts and at #2 on the regular charts....they've already won lots of awards this past year....I think Adele and Duffy will cancel each other out and Lady A takes it!

U2 opening was a bore.

whitney looked good..from the neck down. voice is shot. record that "comeback". let clive do vocal 'corrections" in the studio. DON'T tour.

jennifer hudson looked good but did not deserve award.

timberfake with al green? to prove he doesn't have real soul?

coldplay with another guest guest rap by jay-z, what year is this?

carrie underwood, what is up with that dress? good performance though.

George Strait won Best Country Album after 27 years in the business and amassing more #1's than any other artist ever. It's about damn time.

OK...my thoughts so far...

* Witney Looked great
* Jennifer Hudson totally deserved the award, she's had such a great year, but the dress she wore to accept the award was awful
* Loved the song with Taylor Swift and Myley Cirus (and I have Miley)
* Jonas Brother with Stieve Wonder??? Really??? They are no where NEAR that level, and they never will be. Steveie is a legend, to have him take second billing to a bunch of pre-pubescent kids is a outrage
