I lost my lover of 13 years to AIDS when he was 33 and I was 50. Found a new lover who is 20 years my junior and we've been together 10 years now. My libido is as strong as ever and the age difference doesn't make much of a difference. I tried to date men my age but seems middle age gays all want a 20 yo twink, so I had to dip into that pool, too. But did run through some scammers who wanted an "old man" with some money. Must admit I bought some of my "sugar babies" cars, motorcycles, etc. who then used the new wheels to get away! Gay-for-pay isn't just found in porn. Too late?? Absolutely not! Granted, you would probably be wasting your time in a twink bar (where anyone over 30 is considered "old").....but if you're around a big city there should be plenty of new adventures out there for you. What's the new attitude? 60 is the "new" 50. I see a lot of hot older guys around and many of them don't want the baggage of a "sugar baby" hanging all over them. Hold your head high and get out there!! You have many great years ahead of you. Have fun!

It's never too late Jerry! I don't think the bar scene would be the place though. You could see if there is a gay help center or such and volunteer your time there. I can't handle the loud music at bars myself, lol.

never too late, id say. but you probably have to have a thick skin if youre after someone 20 (30, 40) years your junior. still being younger, i get approached by a lot of older men who are just so bitter; take care of yourself, dont become one of them.

I'm in the same boat so to speak. My partner of 35yrs. passed suddenly 3 yrs. ago and I'm sill not close to be being able to deal with it. We met when we were 17 and spent the next 35 yrs. by each others side. I miss him desperately each and every day but realize I soon need to get out there and see if I can meet someone else. I'm a lover. I need to love someone and be loved, it's all I have ever known. It's so empty not having someone to share my passions with. I guess we are both going to try the dating game. I've never done it, probably going to take some getting used to.
