I just came across this 60 minutes special dealing with homosexuality.


Homosexuality, Nature/nurture. Genetics? Hormones? Older brother effect? Right handedness?

The also showed some case studies of children into adulthood and who grew up gay and who grew up straight.
 
Why is everyone trying to figure out WHY people are gay?Why does there have to be some gene/malfucntion shit that they have to come up with?Why the hell do I have to explain myself?

Does it really matter WHY or HOW people are gay?

Just accept the fact that they exsist and move the fuck on.

the reason is that people can't accept it if it's a choice....to them if it's a genetic thing ,a malfunction as you put it they might accept it or start to accept it...coz they can't understand why some one would want to be gay.....and to them this might explain why…it might explain that it isn't a choice it's just who the person is and not he or them can change it

That, in a nutshell, is the answer to your question. Psychologists try to understand behaviour, and this is but one behaviour they are trying to understand. They have no agenda. They simply seek to understand it.

They know it exists. They know that it has always existed, and they know that it also exists throughout the animal kingdom. They want only to know why it exists.

I understand what you are saying, but the fact that homosexuality is being studied means that it is looked upon as if it were some genetic anomoly, mutation, disorder, or disease. Why is heterosexuality not being studied? 100% heterosexuality, much like 100% homosexuality, is rare; it is just that heterosexuality is expressed more.
 
Seen it before, Totally supports that theory that There is indeed a GAY gene. And that Sexuality is formed at the DNA level of each and every one of us.
 
And in the end... it's ALL about trying to exterminate gay people. That's what they want to do... stop gay people from ever being born.
 
I think what disturbs me the MOST is that that kid is too young to realize that he's just come out of the closet at on national TV.

He's not going to be able to come out on his own schedule.. the WHOLE school now knows that he's gay and are going to be vicious to him.

However... I don't think that he's gay at all. He's transexual.

They asked if he wanted to be a girl and he said "yes."

I dont know a single gay guy who wished he was a girl. That's a transexual.

Exactly.It's like they're trying to find something else to hold against us and THAT'S what pisses me off.

Why can't people just live and let live?

Why do people have to hurt and destroy every fucking thing that's slightly diffrent in the least?

This is exactly what I was thinking. We she asked if he wanted to be a girl, I realized he's not gay.
 
Adam the nine year old twin sounds more like he is transgendered then gay as we usually think of it. But as for the rest yes I have older brothers but I am left handed and my spouse was the first born adopted into another family after birth so take these studies for what they are worth. You all know the reality of your situation and your friends. Much like fortune telling sometimes the horoscopes are right in a vague kind of way but mostly you try and fix the facts to fit the theory.
 
At a very young age, I think sex is somewhat ambiguous to most kids. I think the kid in the CBS thing is still too young to tell if he is transsexual, gay, or straight. Give him time before categorizing him. I think that it would be good research if follow-up studies were made on kids like him as they go through puberty and enter adulthood.
 
There is no gay gene, or else there wouldn't be identical twins with different sexuality....unless of course you think identical twins have different genes.
 
wait...homosexuality runs in families? how? I have a large family and no one has come out,ever. Partly....more like mostly because i am form a very conservative Muslim family.
 
Wow is all I have to say. How old is this special.

About the nine year old kid twin, I also believe he is transgendered. I saw myself in some of those kids. I remember when I was about 9 or 10 I asked my mom if she could buy me a barbie, and well she did. She didnt say anything to me about it, and my brother who is one year younger than me also didnt say much about it. I probably had that barbie for a couple of months and then lost interest in it.

I still havent told my mom about my sexuality and looking back if she was open minded back then I think that she may already know.
