1. Unless there is a medical reason, (and I am not prying into your personal life, Cormac), I feel it is unnecessary. My parents didn't give me a choice when I was born. I think I would have left it alone.

yeah was a joke but according to what I read uncut is more prone to disease---only reason to cut is --and I have known 2 Latino guys which this was the case---the foreskin is so tight it is painful to have sex because it can't be pulled all the way back---

You mean phimosis. That is no reason to circumcise at all. In children, the foreskin is ALWAYS stuck to the gland. Also, as boys become men, usually the foreskin grows a little earlier than what's in it, but sometimes the reverse is true. This solves itself by the time you are sixteen and everything is proportionate again.

However, too many older American doctors have never received any training in how a foreskin works, so their "solution" to every "problem" is to "have it done". That's like having every broken limb "done" by amputating it.

In the rare cases where the foreskin stays too small after you have fully grown, it can simply be made larger, duh. That's a very simple type of minor surgery, much less intrusive than a full-blown circumcision, and much cheaper. Which is, of course, why American docs will "advise" to "just" cut off half of your pride and joy.

Coming from someone who had himself cut on his own, no I didn’t lose half my pride and joy. That is such an exaggerated claim by far left intactivists.

This thread was about someone getting it done for personal reasons. Clearly we can see your opinion on the subject but calling people idiots isn’t very polite.

Once again I got cut on my own. In fact I was ANGRY my mother left me intact. I had many many reasons to get it done. It made me think of the sexual abuse as a child by the man that was uncut. I enjoyed my penis ALOT more circiumcized then left the way I was born. Loosing half of sensation is total horseshit! I maybe lost 20%, which was a good thing because it was WAY to sensitive to begin with.

If we were talking about a woman openly getting type 3 FGM infibulation, then we could start worrying about where the OP’s mind has gone.

I only voted yes because a lot of the far left in the gay community is so extreme about this issue like republicans are about abortion. It’s really distorted and hypocritical thinking on both sides. My father was a very religious Catholic and felt that no God who was supposed to be all knowing would not have even suggested you mess with his work. When I was in the army some ass hole in my unit was a pig who never washed properly according to a Doctor on Base and suggested he get a circumcision. He was in pain for a year with countless infections do not be a fool you will loose sensitivity and there is no going back!
