Obvious to me that people with that kind of money do not want their cars to look like everyone else's cars. Manufacturers take this into consideration as well as the input of such people and give them what they want. It is apparently not something you or I would want. Money talks. The end product may be ugly a lot of the time.

actually i liked both cars.....but of course not going to get one for myself....i don't usually buy such cheap cars....:D...

I wouldn't say these cars are ugly. I guess when a car is "worth" over $1 million, peoples expectations are going to be high. The Veyron I found to be rather cool. Not $1 million cool, but still cool.

The Bugatti is nice. The Mayback would take some time for me to like it.

If you're buying a million dollar car, you're not buying one that's 40 times better than a $25,000 car. You're buying one that you hope gets forty times the looks.

Every car on the road today would've been considered butt ugly thirty years ago.

the mercedes was a spec car that the guy bought...all car companies have them if you have the $$$$...even Ford has a 3million dollar mini van.

They're not supposed to look pretty, they're supposed to look super psycho aggressive! This ain't Grandma's Lexus, it's heroin for the jet set. I'm usually not that into cars (I drive a 10 y/o Mazda Protege), but my spine gets all tingly just thinking about driving one of those guys. You could see the ease of motion in the video - that car would do ANYTHING you asked it to.

Also, practicality is of zero concern. They didn't put in 700 hp for trips to the grocery store. "Built for the track," no?

BTW, the most beautiful car I've ever seen was a Bentley. I was on the highway, and I had to force myself to stop staring before I hit someone. It was seriously jaw-droppingly gorgeous.

I don't necessarily think either one is ugly, I just think they're dumb.

I mean, there's no backseat for my dog, and I bet very little room for groceries or stuff from Home Depot or Lowe's.

There are plenty of pretty cars one can buy that actually have a decent amount of practicality to them. And they don't cost over $100K, either.

babe, if you buy a car worth that much i doubt if you'll be getting the groceries...and the dog can run behind the car

I'll sell you my Mini for only 1 million... you'd only have to be slightly more stupid than with the other cars :D

8 Million and it only does 0-60 in 4.4 seconds?

And did I hear they used neoprene in the car? Excuse me? For 8mil, is should be baby seal skin.

Between the two I'd take the Veyron.

But I'm an old-school kinda guy. I'd still like a McLaren F1. 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. Top speed 240mph, 0-200 in about a half-minute. Oh, and the engine compartment is lined in gold.

Ha! Whoever bought that car got shafted. 0-60 in 4.7 seconds or so? Well, they should've gotten 80 of these instead... (at $100k each)

That baby does 0-60 in 4 seconds.

i am so in love with the tesla roadster!

i would kill for a chance to take one out for a spin.

I have a close relative who owns a Dodge Viper. I've driven it a number of times, and I must admit, it looks a lot more fun than it actually is.

I mean, flying around corners and dodging my way through traffic in my MINI Cooper S was ten times more fun.

...sigh. I miss that car. But I don't miss going through a set of tires every 8,000 miles.

i had a friend who was a passenger in one of the first vipers and he said it was the most uncomfortable ride he had ever been. the car is just not meant for comfort i guess...

i have to admit that i would love to take a mini cooper s for a drive!

i should have been an automotive journalist.

Forget Dodge Vipers and expensive Italian Supercars...

You want the ultimate speed machine, unbelievable handling, (OK - and NO creature comforts) - out perform virtually any vehicle that can be road registered - at a fraction of the cost of anything with even remotely comparable speed/handling?

Lookee here:

then read this page:

and finally spend a few minutes watching this UK "Top Gear" clip (if you are a true motoring enthusiast, you won't regret it - in fact you'll probably be salivating...)

Enjoy!
