8.9 Earthquake in Japan

Fast Facts about the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami

http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=fast-facts-japan

So the plate is pushing into the Japanese island. The plates are being pushed into each other.
Big news. The point about subduction that is supposed to engulf Japan sometime in a remote future, and about the plate movement in that zone in general, that had been being considered up to the actual bad breaking * * news, was whether it would bring about a disaster or an even worse cataclysm than we have now, during Japan's position as one of the main economic powerhouses: well...
Now imagine something like that in California, with the state and the country's economy. Even if it is man-induced...

belly up

I don't want to get involved in the pissing contest between you and

9ofClubs.

My, how the righteous angel has descended again.

Thing of it is, you delight in the fact that they are arguing because you love telling people like them off. And, you think that you can keep it concealed underneath your "hey, I'm only trying to help society" persona. (Not saying that such a persona is fake: I believe that you deserve some credit there. Simply saying that you're hiding your petty pride and desire to tell people off underneath it).

What is comedic about your intervention is that Dan (9ofClubs) and "belly up" (Is that your cute nickname for Belamo?) were only being playful with each other and carried no grudge from their loose-hearted nonsensical competition; nonsensical, as in, substantless fun that doesn't really mean anything. Honestly, where would you be had "lesser-informed" people like them not provide you with a scene of conflict for you to break down? ;)

I do have a great deal of empathy for the denizens of the area currently

being targeted by mother nature.

And they don't? Please, Lefty!!

We are all in a time of tragedy right now. I cannot believe you would sink so low like this!

Respecting history and all people (You have a funny way of showing it for these two people), that was an avoidable infamy. not at all

cloths from the same bolt. Go back and study your history before you put the

other boot in your mouth.

Again, look at you enjoying the conflict.

This is not a perfect world

It would be better by at least a slight if people like you looked at humanity without trying to tell others off.

If you yourself are guilty of the same things they are, like you stated to me in a PM some ages ago that you are, surely, you can try to be a little more humble before those that you try to "educate." ;)

^

So, in your evaluation/estimation

I have bombed.

Domo Arigato Sempei:rolleyes:

Very much so, Ellusive Eddie. And now having said that, if you haven't already, I would like you to kindly think critically about your behaviour and please re-consider.

The forgotten four-legged victims. One dog stays by other sicker dog.

The good news is that both of these dogs were rescued and taken to a shelter.

There are many, many people who have fled Tokyo in the aftermath of last week's quake. Some have left the city for more remote areas like Osaka, while many fled the country altogether. Now, I understand that when there's hysteria and potential danger out there, it's a normal reaction. At the same time, when you've made your friends and family here (who can't afford to leave), I feel it says something about your character that you'd be so quick to leave them behind for some peace of mind.

And yet, one dog can stand by his injured buddy to protect him. That's beautiful.

These dogs behave like humans.
Creationists say animals don't have morals. This video prove them wrong.
