Bill Clinton Takes On 9/11 Conspiracy Protesters

Bill Clinton addressed a crowd in Minneapolis, Minnesota at a fundraiser for his wife's campaign on Tuesday.

Clinton's 50-minute speech, which started about an hour behind schedule, was derailed briefly by several hecklers in the audience who shouted that the 2001 terrorist attacks were a fraud. Rather than ignoring them, Clinton seemed to relish a direct confrontation.

"A fraud? No, it wasn't a fraud," Clinton said, as the crowd cheered him on. "I'll be glad to talk to you if you shut up and let me talk."

When another heckler shouted that the attacks were an "inside job," Clinton took even greater umbrage.

"An inside job? How dare you. How dare you. It was not an inside job," Clinton said. "You guys have got to be careful, you're going to give Minnesota a bad reputation."

I just pray his wife does a better job in office than the men before her did.

^ they are looking for a sympathetic ear I guess... They know the cons wont lend them one.

Who keeps sending 9/11 conspiracists to liberal talks?

Lex

They feel they're not being heard and they're convinced 9/11 was or at least could have been an inside job. If one really believes that, no doubt it's very frustrating to not be taken seriously and see nothing done about such a grievous crime.

But, as people frustrated by not being heard often do, they're going about trying to be heard the wrong way.

If 9/11 was an inside job, I really doubt the libs didn't have their hands in it as well. And if that's the case, trying to "clue in" Clinton seems more than a little silly.

What makes you think liberals would have their hands in that? They didn't like Bush & Co or their agenda, were still raw from Bush "stealing" the election, and it's obvious an event like that sends enormous support to the White House no matter who's there. Why would liberals be involved in something so heinous that would only give Bush & Co more power?

These 9/11 Conspiracy nuts are so rude. Have they no respect? They can get their message across in better ways. They should organize their own events, invite the media to their show, and get the public ear that way. Heckling Bill Maher's TV show and then Bill Clinton is lame.

^ Let me clarify myself. The conspiracy nuts I'm referring to are those who are heckling these events. Their behavior is erratic and unapologetic. For those here at JUB who do believe 9/11 was an inside job, you can believe what you want. You aren't nuts. But if you go shouting out at Bill Clinton about it, you are.

There wouldn't be so many "conspiracy nuts" if the government would just, oh I don't know, answer the questions themselves instead of leaving the job to Popular Mechanics.

Even if the government gave answers, the "nuts" wouldn't accept them. And since when did anyone believe anything the government says?

Small fringe groups have to be 'nuts' to get attention, not saying I agree or disagree, like the anti-fur folks use to throw red paint on Hollywood stars wearing leather or furs.

I don't care if they all do and I'm the only one here that doesn't. I would still say they are all nuts.

IMO -- some folks just hate the present admin so much they will allow themselves to believe anything negative about it. Some believe W had the levee in New Orleans blown-up to flood the black hood during Katrina.

Not to say anything to denounce this conspiracy theory, but people would still come up with them no matter what. Naturally, people don't always trust other people.
Absolutely. I'm not saying that I support the theories, either. I just don't understand why the administration would rather ignore the theories than debunk them.

The biggest fault with the conspiracy theory is the premise that the government was smart enough to plan and pull it all off as an inside job, without a hitch, and without anyone knowing no less. Surely, this is giving the government more credit than it is worthy of having.
